Know the best football coaching academies of India
Slowly but steadily football has been regaining its lost popularity in India. The guardians are now interested to send their children in the football academies for scientific training. This article provides the details of top football academies of India.
The British introduced football in India. Indian people accepted football whole-heartedly and within a very short period, it became the most popular sports of India. The reasons behind it are very simple; football requires minimum equipment. It can be played anywhere, even in small villages and the rules of football are very simple. The love for football of Indians became more pronounced when Mohan Began Club of Kolkata won the prestigious IFA Shield in 1911 defeating East Yorkshire Regiment in 1911. This historic event was also associated with the freedom movement of the country. Even after independence, football remained the most popular game of the country. During the 50s and 60s, Indian football team won many trophies and medals in international competitions, the last of which was bronze medal in Asian Games at Bangkok in 1970. However, the downfall of Indian football started in 1970s. At the same time, the popularity of cricket started increasing because of the success of Indian cricket team abroad (1971 Series win against West Indies and England). After Indian Cricket team's victory in 1983 World Cup, the popularity of cricket surpassed football. During 1990s and early part of 2000s, the popularity of football reached at its ebb.
However, after introduction of Indian Super League (ISL) in football, Indian football has been slowly regaining its lost popularity. Many guardians are trying to make their children footballers because of various opportunities which have started coming in football. Many football academies have started functioning all over the country where young children are being trained. In this article we are going to discuss some excellent football academies are training promising footballer since their adolescence.
