After reading this article I can guess one thing that the author has listed all the above characteristics on the basis of Redmi smartphones. May be he owns one himself. However, he forgot to mention one very important characteristics of a smartphone that is its display. Display plays a major role in enhancing your smartphone experience. Although he has mentioned screen size but he has not mentioned any word about the quality and resolution of screen.
An ideal smartphone should have latest Gorilla glass which are very strong and does not get any scratch even in hard rub against rough surfaces. It should have a minimum resolution of 1280*720 with a ppi of 441. This is the minimum requirement for getting some good visual output while playing games and videos.
Overall it's a good article and really helpful guide in deciding the quality of smartphone that any one is going to buy.
