Are you going to appear in JEE main exam? Do you need some tips to get success in JEE main exam? if yes, then this article is for you. In this article, you will find five important tips to get success in JEE main exam. You will also find the tips to save time in exam hall.

Introduction

The JEE (Join Entrance Exam) is the top level engineering exam conducted by CBSE (Central Board of Education). Good planning and strategy is necessary to carry out any mission. For example, in long jump it is necessary to race fast from a distance. Similarly proper planning and proper strategy is necessary in every field of life to get success. Let see what five tips are necessary to get success in JEE-2018.

  1. Read question paper carefully

  2. Take time and read your question paper carefully. Analyze the question paper for 15 minutes. After that you will be able to know the difficulty level of the question paper. You will also be able recognize the simple and hard questions of question paper. Try to solve simple and average question at earliest. So, in remaining time you would be able to solve difficult and tricky questions. Doing this step you will increase the change of getting better marks in the exam.

  3. First solve theoretical questions

  4. The numerical part of physics and mathematics takes a lot of time. A lot of time is needed to give correct answer of numerical questions. After answering simple and average questions, solve the theoretical questions of physics and chemistry. Also try to solve these questions at fast speed. After that, solve the numerical part of physics and mathematics.

  5. Take your strong subject first

  6. It is possible that a student is strong in a subject and weak in other two subjects. So, it is better to take your strong subject first. It will boost up your confidence . You would be able to save your time in exam hall. Solve the theoretical questions of strong subject first and later solve numerical portion. It will save your time to solve numerical questions of other subjects.

  7. Subject wise approach

  8. Every subject has many units and chapters. For example, there are three parts of chemistry, i. e, physical chemistry, inorganic chemistry and organic chemistry. There is no logic in most of the inorganic chemistry and you have to rotten them. So it is better to solve inorganic questions first then come to organic chemistry where you have to remember equations. At last solve the physical chemistry which has very lengthy answers. Similarly you can prepare a strategy for physics and mathematics.

  9. Smart time management

  10. You can prepare a strategy to solve question paper, but remember the time management. Keep your eye on watch. If a questions is taking a long time, then leave it and go ahead to solve other question. Try to save every second. At last do not forget to solve the questions which have been left by you at earlier. The person who manages time is considered as the wisest man. So, do not take time management lightly.

Last words

So, these are five tips which should be followed if you want to get success in JEE main-2018. Also remember that there will be minus marking in the exam and you have to loss 1/4 mark for every wrong answer. So, accuracy is more important than speed.
All the best for you exam.

Very useful article for the aspirants of JEE exam. The author has mentioned many important points which will help students to crack the examination with flying colors.

Besides the point mentioned in the article, I would also like to add something to it. Basically, JEE is one of the prestigious exam of this country and even world at the higher secondary level. This exam is conducted to select the candidates for admission in IITs and NITs colleges across the country. We all know that there is a big craze for engineering among students and those who want to pursue B.Tech take a chance to crack JEE.

Getting good marks in this examination is not that easy as the questions asked are very complex involving two or three topics in a single question. The best method to crack JEE is to get full command over basics. If your basics are strong then you can easily solve both theoretical and numerical problem easily.

Most of the students face problem in solving numerical problems in Physics and Maths. Those who are afraid of numerical problems should always remember one thing that to get over their problem there is only one solution and i.e., practice. Practice as much as you can. Try to solve 50 problems daily. This will boost your confidence and give you an edge over your competitors.

Chemistry is considered easy to master as you mainly need to memorize the facts and very less numerical problems are asked from this section. So, get your hold over organic and inorganic portions, as these two will guarantee you minimum of 50 marks.
Be regular and punctual. Try to cover all the portion on time. Get your hands over mechanics in physics and mole concept in chemistry. These two portions in both the subjects form the basic of many chapters.

Solve previous year paper and take regular mock papers to evaluate your preparation. Get the help of your teacher and friends and get your doubt clear instantly.

A very nice article by the author and it will be really helpful for all the JEE aspirants. I would like to add a thing or two:-
This tip is only for people who are complacent in cracking the mains exam and do not wish to prepare much for the JEE advanced. If you are planning to score well in JEE advance as well then obviously you have to study everything and clear your concepts well but if you want to crack mains only, then your main focus must be on the subject in which it is easiest to score marks that is chemistry. This is because, in chemistry part most of the questions are directly from NCERT books and also in chemistry, there is not much scope to twist a question unlike physics and maths in which you need really good concepts. So, by simply preparing for your board exams, you can prepare for JEE mains without much extra effort. Just read whole of the NCERT carefully. I can say this as I too gave mains exam and I was able to clear it. I got 119 marks out of which 83 were because of chemistry and I didn't put any extra efforts as well. Hope this will help.
