Method of Preparation Step 1:
Peel and clean the tomatoes, onions (both small and Sabola), green chilly, garlic and ginger. Wash them thoroughly and chop them finely and keep them aside.
Take a bowl full of water and put little turmeric powder and salt to it. Soak the curry leaves and coriander leaves into it. This helps in getting rid of the harmful effects caused by pesticides.
Clean the beef and cut into small cubes only them masala will get mixed with it well. You can keep aside the beef cubes in a bowl of water mixed with turmeric. However, this is optional. To be on the safer side, it is better to soak the beef cubes in water as turmeric is helpful in properly washing it.
Take a pressure cooker, clean it and keep it on the stove. On the flame and let the water dry up. Pour oil to it and once the boil becomes heat, add the chopped onions and tomato to it. Stir it for few seconds.
Now add the chopped ginger and garlic along with green chilies to it. Mix well until the tomato is smashed and the onions become fluffy and light brown in color. Add the curry leaves and chopped coriander leaves to it and mix well.
Take a pan and heat it. Add turmeric powder, chilly powder, coriander powder, black pepper powder, meat masala powder and garam masala to it. Don't let it fry and turn black, just heat it and switch off the flame.
Add the masala to the mix and stir well. Now it becomes like a paste, this is the time when you need to add the cleaned beef cubes into it. Mix well so that the masala gets spread. Mix it for 60 seconds.
Add little water to it. Remember beef cubes already has water in it, so only add little water. Add salt and mix once more. Close the lid of the pressure cooker and allow it to cook.
Eight Whistles are required for the beef to be cooked properly. Increase the flame and let the first two whistle come, then reduce the flame and cook it in low flame until the eighth whistle.
After the eighth whistle, switch off the flame and allow it to cool. Once the pressure is completely gone, open the lid and add little more chopped coriander leaves to it. Yummy beef curry is ready and you can start serving it.
