Please note that the quantity mentioned under the heading 'ingredients' is for 6 servings. One can modify it as per the servings required.

Preparation time - 15 to 20 minutes.

  • Vanilla custard powder - 6 teaspoons
  • Milk - 1/2 ltr
  • Sugar - 9 teaspoons
  • Chocolate cream biscuits - 4 Nos
  • Ripe banana - 1 No
  • Honey - 1 to 2 teaspoons (optional)
  • Chocolate - 1 small bar (optional)

Take a bowl and mix vanilla custard powder and a cup of milk thoroughly so that it makes a smooth paste. Put the remaining milk in a cooking vessel and heat it on a low flame on the gas stove. Now slowly mix the custard and milk paste to this heating up milk. Mix sugar to it. Let it come to boil on low heat only. Stir it continuously and as you feel that it has become thick, off the stove.

Keep the cooked custard aside and let it cool down to lukewarm state. Now take banana in a bowl and mesh it or cut it in small pieces. Take biscuits also in a bowl and crush to small pieces. Add crushed banana and biscuits to the custard and mix well. In the summertime, the dish can be kept in the fridge for a few hours before serving. In other seasons it goes well at room temperature.

The dish is ready to serve now.

Serve in small bowls and optionally put honey lines or grated choclate on the top of it.

Please note that the amount of sugar can be adjusted as per taste. For diabetic persons, it can be prepared without sugar as biscuits are sufficient to give it a sugary taste.

Delicious to taste! Easy to prepare. But, in this process the milk and the custard should be mixed well so that it becomes a paste perfectly and tiny balls are not formed. The mixture should not be too dense nor too much in liquid form.
