Masters Degree

Master's degree is an advanced, research-based course of two years. It will give theoretical and practical knowledge. The course includes a final dissertation or project.

Ph.D. Degree

The Ph.D. degree usually takes three years to achieve. Ph.D. is offered at research institutions and universities. Completion of the dissertation is mandatory. Students will be able to conduct research under expert supervision. Students are encouraged to get involved in collaborative research with other institutes. Funding opportunities are available.

Industrial Ph.D. fellowships These fellowships are offered through joint collaboration between industry and a university. The Ph.D. program will be conducted as a research project and the Ph.D. student collaborates between the university and the industry. The duration of these fellowships is usually three years.

Admission requirements

English language requirements: Higher education programs in Denmark require proficiency in English. Applicants to English-taught postgraduate programs must prove English proficiency comparable to 'English A'.

Language tests such as TOEFL, IELTS and Cambridge ESOL Examinations (CAE) are often used to prove proficiency in English.

The required score in the test varies from institute to institute. The average score in English for Masters and Ph.D. are:
IELTS - Test score of at least 7.0 points in English A
TOEFL- Test scores in the ranges of 587-610 (paper-based), or 240-253 (computer-based test), or 94-101 (internet-based test) in English A
Cambridge Advanced English - Certificate of Proficiency (CPE) in English A.
