The Indian Institute of Management, Indore established in the year 1996 and it is sixth big IIM management schools in India. The Government of India chose to set up in the Indore with the aim of giving Management Education in Central India. Since then the Institute has been the leader in the Management field having exposure in the industry and also in the government sectors.
About Institute, IIM Indore
The IIM Indore is one of the best B-Schools in India. The institute is situated at hillock and it is blessed with good beauty and has good architecture design. The campus offers good learning area for the students.
The Institute is having world-class lecture halls and good gymnasiums with good sports facilities. There are more than 1500 students and faculties, staff and also their families are also staying here. There are around 86 teachers who all are visiting and also regular ones.
There are 2 computer laboratories, 30 syndicate rooms and 33 lecture halls and also 76 cabins for faculty. Institute is having 2 separate auditoriums each of them having an amphitheatre. The Old auditorium has a seating capacity of 300 and the second auditorium has a seating capacity of 800. The residential facilities are available both for students and faculties and also the staff members.
Single and twin-sharing accommodation is available for the students with separate blocks for men and women. Each of the hostel blocks has a centre in the square where badminton and basketball courts are available. The hostel block has DTH connection, table tennis and dart games are available for playing. The rooms are furnished with teak cots and mattress and Internet connectivity is available throughout the campus and also in hostels.
There is also a night canteen functioning from 11 PM to 5 AM and students can order any food which ranges from noodles to parathas. There is also an initiative of students known as JAM where fresh juices and fruits are available in the premises in the hostel. The students also run goods store which is self-managed one and they can order anything from snacks to stationary. The institute has a Medical centre with Ambulance Facility and also has a post office. There is a Bank of SBI and also there are 2 ATM's available at premises of campus. The State Bank of India gives all facilities like C. ash Deposit, Internet Banking.
Integrated Programme in Mangement (5 years course)
The Integrated Programme in Management knows as IPM is a five-year Programme in Mangement and it was launched by IIM Indore in the year 2011. This programme is accredited by Association of MBA's, London. This is a unique programme with aim of giving young students a leadership and Management qualities for their career life. This Programme is aimed at students who have completed their 12th Class exam from the schools in India.
The Integrated Programme consists of 15 terms which spread across 5 years and each year will be having three terms with a duration of three months. The first three years will be built on the foundation and rest two years which focus on management. The different foundation courses available are as follows.
After three years study on foundation, the students will focus on training as managers with students in PGP course and they undertake course pack in the year four and five.
Accomodation and fees
The fees for Indian residents for first 3 years of the programme is RS 4,00,000 and 6,00,000 for Non-Resident Indians. The course fee for the 4th and 5th year will be of PGP Programme fees. The fees include the Lodging, facilities of the computer, lectures access, and library. The accommodation will be arranged on sharing basis for the first 3 years. The accommodation of single rooms will be from fourth and fifth years of Programme.
A minimum of 60% in the tenth standard and in Twelve standards for the general and NC-OBC category. The maximum age is 20 years which is on July 31, 2018. For SC, ST and PWD categories a minimum of 55% in the tenth standard and in 12th standard or which is equivalent to it. The maximum age will be up to 22 years of age as on July 31, 2018.
The candidates who are eligible must submit their applications online. The applications must be submitted by March 12, 2018, to 18th April 18, 2018, and must pay the online fee of RS 3000. The fees paid are not refundable and transferable.
