"Raksha Shakti University has been established in Ahmedabad in 2009 vide the Raksha Shakti University Act, 2009, Gujarat bill No-16 of 2009 to prepare the youth of the country to become effective and efficient security personnel and to conduct courses and award degrees, diplomas and certificates for the said purpose. The university is dedicated to developing skill in the field of internal development and for developing future employees in internal security management. Raksha Shakti University is a unique and first of its kind in India for conducting certificate, diploma and degree courses in the field of police science and internal security.Vision, Mission and Objectives
The vision of the university is to establish a center of excellence with social commitment, integrating modern, scientific and technological knowledge and skills in police and security administration, which is extremely necessary for the maintenance of law and order and ensuring peace and harmony in society. The mission of this unique university is to impart customized education to the youth of the country in all vital aspects of internal security. The two most important objectives of the university are developing an institution in security science and management for training about excellence in all functions of security forces and to facilitate research in all matters of internal security.

The information brochure is available on the website. Students can apply for admission in various programmes through online or offline. The course fees are very nominal. The university offers separate hostel facilities for boys and girls. There is the provision of scholarships for students of Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes, SEBC and other reserved categories as per the Government norms. NCC certificate holders, sportspersons and girl students get preference in admission (except in Ph.D and M.Phil courses). The university provides excellent placement facilities for the students after successful completion of programmes.
