Know about Galgotias University B.Tech Engineering Entrance Examination (GEEE), 2018

Galgotias University is a private university in Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh. It was founded by Chairman Suneel Galgotia and CEO Dhruv Galgotia in the year 2011. It was granted university status in 2011 by the State Government of Uttar Pradesh. The campus of the university occupies 21 hectares of land near the Yamuna Expressway. It consists of three blocks and a boys' hostel which has a capacity of around 700 students. All necessary and essential items are available inside the campus of the university.

Engineering Entrance Examination (GEEE), 2018

Galgotias University invites applications from interested students for admission in various courses offered by the University. However, in the present article, the procedure of admission in various 4-years B.Tech courses of the university is being discussed. The admission to these B.Tech courses is based upon an online entrance test known as GEEE.

Registration procedure

The candidates are required to fill the Online Application Form as given on the Website (geee.in) along with complete details by clicking on the "APPLY ONLINE" tab given on the home page of the website. After filling the complete form correctly and by clicking on the 'Submit' icon - the candidate will be routed to the Axis Bank payment gateway. The payment of Rs 1100/- can be made online by using credit card / debit card of any Bank. On successful application, the system will generate a unique ID which will be candidate's unique identification number throughout the admission process. An auto-generated Email/SMS will be sent to the candidate's email id/mobile number.

The students can also take admission by visiting the admission office of the University located at Greater NOIDA and paying the requisite fee by cash or through Demand Draft.

Eligibility for GEEE, 2018

GEEE, 2018 is an online entrance test. The eligibility is 50% marks in Class XIIth examination from a recognized Board of India with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The detailed eligibility conditions can be seen from the admission brochure available at the University Website.

The important dates related to GEEE-2018 are as under:-
  • Availability of online application form: 14th December, 2017 onward
  • Last date to apply: 31st May, 2018
  • Downloading of Admit card by the applicants: 7th June, 2018 onward
  • Date of online entrance test: 15th June, 2018
  • Announcement of result: 20th June, 2018

The pattern of GEEE is indicated below:-
  1. Mode of test: Online
  2. Duration: 90 minutes
  3. Type of Question: Objective/MCQ
  4. Language of the question paper: English
  5. No. of questions: 90 (Ninety)
  6. Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics: 30 questions each
  7. No negative marking in GEEE-2018

Scholarships

The university offers various types of scholarships for deserving and economically backward students. The scholarships are based on academic performance of the students in the qualifying X+II examination, on the basis of performance in the university and also on the basis of financial capability.
