The Less Known Google Services

Google is a giant service provider with a wide range of products. Many of them are popular and are used by us in common. But there are some Google services which are not known to all, or bit less known. This includes few of the apps listed here which provide rewards to the users. Google undertakes these programs and thus the legitimacy and reliability need not be questioned.

We all know Google and the importance of Google in our day-to-day life is quite big. Even the small kids are familiar with Google. Google provides a ton of services and apps to make everyday life more easy and make things convenient.

Everyone knows about GMail, YouTube, Maps, Play Store, etc. Even services like Photos, Keep and Tez are being used by many of us. And Tez itself provides the users to get lucky chances to win money as they use the app. But still there are many more services from Google apart from this. Google provides rewards to the users in few apps. When the reward is promised by Google, there is no need to doubt it, along with that, many user reviews will prove it right. We will look into those apps.

Get Google Rewards

  1. Google Opinion Rewards

The reviews and opinions of users of any service is valuable for the company. There are surveys where the researchers are willing to pay those who give data. Google, as the provider of a series of services, also needs information and reviews. As name suggests, the app collects opinions of the users of Google apps.

The app, once installed will give notifications once a survey is available. The surveys will be short, at times just two questions. After each survey, Google will credit the user's account with a reasonable amount.

The credit is provided as Google Play Credits, that is, the user can use the amount to make purchases at Google Play Store. Apps, Games, Movies, Albums, etc. can be purchased with the amount. Google does not provide option to convert the balance into cash as such. The amount is intended to be spent as Play Credits. However, for iOS users there is an alternative option. They can get the balance in their PayPal account once a minimum payout of $2 is accrued.

  2. Local Guide - Google Maps

Google Maps is extremely useful and must have proved its importance to those who love to make journeys. The app helps to find spots and locations in an area. Ever wondered how Google knows about all these areas even better than many of the people living there?

Well, Google seeks the helps of Local Guides to get better info of the place. There are millions of Local Guides who provide information to Google, which in turn increases the collection Google have. So, the input from these Guides is provided to the users of Google Maps.

Anyone can join the program, and help Google with providing data. Join and provide information such as answers to questions, reviews, photos, adding new places, etc. Google in turn will reward the guides, but not in plain cashouts.

Google makes the rewards to their local guides in other ways than cash. There are people who get excess cloud storage, free travels and stays, credits to spend and specific services and invitation to Google hosted events for Local Guides. Well, there are different levels one has to climb with his/her contribution to the community to get these rewards. And in general, if you love to make such contribution (to an extend, without aiming the rewards) and is someone who travels a lot, this is the chance for you.

  3. 3. Screenwise Media Panel

Screenwise, Media Panel is an easy way to get free coupons from Google. Users need not do anything, just installing the app is necessary. The app will do the work in background, like collecting information regarding your browsing, details of app usage etc. The coupons will be earned at no specific work. That's cool, isn't it?

But this one is bit tough to get started. This is not a service open to everyone. Only those who are registered media panelists are offered this service. One needs to be in that list first.

Altogether, Google is so big as we know and is much bigger than our knowledge. There are many more less known services from Google. And Google have much more in their pockets. In time all will come up to the surface. Go and find as many as you can when you are free and need a hobby.

You have given wrong information about Google Opinion Rewards. Have you ever tried GOR? You should try and write a genuine report about redemption because Google Opinion Rewards doesn't pay you via PayPal. You cannot redeem your earned money through PayPal. On top of this, there is no minimum payout.

Opinion Rewards is an app designed for Google users to spend their earned monies to buy Paid Applications and Premium Games. One cannot transfer the money to your bank. I have been using this from the past eight months. The surveys are rare. You hardly revive three to four surveys a month and it is also not sure whether you'll qualify for it or not.

I said there is no minimum payout because if your balance is 5Rupees, then you can search for paid apps that cost 5Rupees. When prompted, you can choose to buy and pay that app using Google Play wallet balance since it is automatically linked to your Google wallet.

Please update the information.

@John Theo Sang
Sorry for the confusion caused. But I would like to bring into notice that you are not the only person who has used GOR!

Stating that I agree that Redemption via PayPal is the issue here. I have not tried PayPal Redemption as I am using Android, and as far as I am now aware, the option of PayPal is reserved to US (GOR not showing up on App Store India). Lastly, I would like to also state that I have received 9 surveys in the fourth month, each month the number is increasing. Also, in the Google's Intro, I noticed that straight replier giving true answers have a chance of getting more surveys. Hope you can get more than "hardly three surveys" that way.
