Go check them out –

Bombay Brasserie - Adyar

Bombay Brassiere does not have a standard buffet, what it offers is a canteen style meal. Yet, it comes highly recommended for its ambience and a la carte menu. The Adyar branch of the restaurant is set in a colonial building, hidden from the view of the noise and the traffic. The atmosphere is calm and soothing. The quaint white structure and the antique décor add to its serenity.

The food is delectable. I love their vegetarian fare, it is definitely one of the best that I have eaten. I recommend the Lucknawi paneer for its creamy, melt in the mouth texture. Decanters of infused water at every table are a refreshing addition. The service is excellent.

The Flying Elephant - Park Hyatt

The Flying Elephant in Park Hyatt makes it to the list and for a reason. Its vertical dining setup is pleasantly unique and a class in itself. The restaurant provides the perfect atmosphere for a relaxed meal. The five-star restaurant offers its guests a widespread menu, including North-Indian, Continental, Asian, Italian and Mid-Eastern food.

The only drawback is that it is not a buffet-style brunch. Instead, you order what you want from the menu, at a fixed price. I like the concept as it avoids wastage. The restaurant opens at noon and is open until 15:30 hours. You can reserve a table before you head there.

The service is exceptional.

The Madras Pavillion

The Madras Pavillion at ITC Grand Chola offers an out of the world experience. The food aside, it is the atmosphere that leaves you in awe. There are no words really to describe its magnificence. You are sure to feel like royalty while dining at this restaurant.

Our daughter treated us to a Sunday Brunch at the Madras pavilion, on our 29th wedding anniversary. Ah! The benefits of having a child who earns. The brunch spread was one of the best that we have had and everything, right from the soup and the starters to the shakes and dessert were scrumptious.

The buffet tables were oozing out a delicious fare, from momos to bacon rashers, succulent meats and jumbo prawns, crabs and calamari. The mutton biryani was light, fluffy, and full of flavour. Do have a meal here, you won't regret it. Trust me; it's a truly a gastronomic experience. Though we didn't touch the vegetarian dishes, there was an array of choice on offer.
