Online applications for MAHACET Post-HSC Diploma courses admissions 2018-2019

After Class 12 do you wish to get admission to a diploma course in Pharmacy or one in Surface Coating Technology? Want to apply for admission to a Hotel Management & Catering Technology program in Maharashtra? This article provides complete information on the Centralized Admission Process for 2018-19 admissions to the first year of these post-H.S.C. fulltime courses.

The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra has announced the admission notice for online registration for the Centralized Admission Process for 2018-19 admissions to the first year of Post-H.S.C. full-time Diploma in Pharmacy, Surface Coating Technology (SCT) and Hotel Management & Catering Technology (HMCT) programs. The programs are those offered by Government, Government-aided and unaided private professional educational institutions.

Eligibility requirements

Candidates should be Indian nationals and fulfill the following criteria:
  1. For Diploma in Pharmacy: You should have passed the HSC exam with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with either Mathematics or Biology (Botany and Zoology).

  2. For Surface Coating Technology: You should have passed the HSC Science exam with subjects English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

  3. Other than Maharashtra State Candidates are eligible for Institution quota only.
  4. Hotel Management & Catering Technology: You should have passed the HSC exam with at least 35% marks.

Fee payment

All candidates must pay the fees as listed below only by Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking etc through online mode. No other payment mode will be accepted. This fee once paid is not refundable.

The fee is -
  1. General category candidates from Maharashtra State, Outside Maharashtra State (OMS candidates) and J & K Migrant candidates: Rs.400/-.

  2. Reserved category candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only: Rs.300/-.

Important dates

  1. Online registration & uploading of documents for Maharashtra State/All India/J & K Migrant candidates: 21st June 2018 to 17th July 2018.

  2. Verification of documents & confirmation of application form for admission:
    • By Maharashtra State/All India candidates at designated Facilitation Centres (FC) along with a printout of online filled & submitted application form, the copy of uploaded documents & submission of relevant certificates for reserved category: 21st June 2018 to 17th July 2018, up to 5p.m.

    • J & K Migrant candidates for admission to Surface Coating Technology and Hotel Management & Catering Technology courses should send the print out of the online filled & submitted application form and copy of uploaded documents by hand/speed post/courier for verification and confirmation to: "The Principal, S.B.M. Polytechnic, Vile Parle (West), near Cooper Hospital, Mumbai-400056" from 21st June 2018 to 17th July 2018, up to 5p.m.

  3. Last date for acceptance of caste/tribe validity, non-creamy layer receipt at FC: 17th July 2018, up to 5p.m.

  4. Display of provisional merit list at the website for Maharashtra State/All India/J & K Migrant candidates: 18th July 2018.

  5. Submission of grievance, if any, for all candidates at FC: 14th July 2018 to 16th July 2018 up to 5p.m. During this time, candidates can also submit documents/certificates for verification.

  6. Last date for submission of caste/tribe validity, non-creamy layer Certificate at FC: 21st July 2018 up to 5p.m.

  7. Display of the final merit lists at the website of Maharashtra State/All India/J & K Migrant candidates: 22nd July 2018.
