How to register online for MAHACET Post SSC Diploma courses admissions 2018

The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra has announced the admission notice for online registration for the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) for 2018-19 admissions to the direct Second Year for the 3-year full-time Diploma Engineering and Technology programs in Government, Government-aided and unaided private professional educational institutions in Maharashtra.

Eligibility requirements

Those applying in the category of Maharashtra State candidate should fulfil these criteria:
  1. You should be an Indian National.

  2. You should have passed the Class 12 exam with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics/ Biology (Botany and Zoology). Alternatively:
    • You should have passed Class 12 Science stream (with Mathematics as one of the Subject) or 12th Science with Vocational or 12th Science with Technical; or
    • You should have passed Class 10 + have done 2 years ITI course with appropriate Trade.

Note that if you have passed Class 10 SSC exam from the Maharashtra State Board, then only if you have passed with Maths/Mathematics (Code 71) and Science & Technology (Code 72) are eligible to apply. Candidates who are applying under the category of 'Other than Maharashtra State Candidates' eligible for Institution quota only.

Fee payment

All candidates must pay the fees as listed below only by Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking etc through online mode. No other payment mode will be accepted. This fee once paid is not refundable.

Fee details -
  1. General category candidates from Maharashtra State, Outside Maharashtra State (OMS candidates) and J & K Migrant candidates: Rs.400/-.

  2. Reserved category candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only: Rs.300/-.

Important dates

  1. Online registration & uploading of documents for Maharashtra State/All India candidates: 25th June 2018 to 12th July 2018.
  2. Verification of documents & confirmation of application form for admission by Maharashtra State/All India candidates at designated Facilitation Centres (FC) along with print out of online filled & submitted application form, copy of uploaded documents & submission of relevant certificates for reserved category: 25th June 2018 to 12th July 2018, up to 5p.m.
  3. Last date for acceptance of caste/tribe validity, non-creamy layer receipt at FC: 12th July 2018, up to 5p.m.
  4. Display of provisional merit list at the website for Maharashtra State/All India candidates: 13th July 2018.
  5. Submission of grievance, if any, for all candidates at FC: 14th July 2018 to 16th July 2018 up to 5p.m. during this time, candidates can also submit documents/certificates for verification.
  6. Last date for submission of caste/tribe validity, non-creamy layer Certificate at FC: 16th July 2018 up to 5p.m.
  7. Display of the final merit lists at the website of Maharashtra State/All India candidates: 17th July 2018.
