About GP Birla Scholarships
The GP Birla Scholarships are announced every year, by the G P Birla Education Foundation, which is a Trust managed by the Birla family. The scholarships were established to take forward the cherished aspiration of the Late Shri G P Birla, the distinguished and illustrious Industrialist and Humanitarian, to empower the country's youth, by promoting education and helping in developing human resources.
It is the endeavour of the foundation to recognize and support young, meritorious talent in the field of academics and sponsor them financially to help them achieve their goals. Eligibility criteria for GP Birla Scholarship

The Scholarship for 2018 will be granted to 65 students, after sifting of applications. The amount for the GP Birla Scholarship will cover tuition as well as hostel fee if the latter is applicable. However, it is subject to an upper limit of Rs.50,000 per annum.
The scholarships will be granted annually for the period of the entire course, until the completion of the programme, with a caveat that the student's performance in the previous year remains satisfactory. A panel of the Trust evaluates each scholar's academic performance annually, before extending the grant. The scholarship is provided for a maximum of 4 years.
In addition to the scholarship money, student's will receive a one-time imbursement of Rs.7,000, towards procurement of study material. GP Birla Scholarship – selection process
All applications will be assessed by a skilled panel of experts from the GP Birla Educational Foundation. Based on the panel's recommendation a list of selected applicants will be prepared, who will then be interviewed before the list of applicants being granted the scholarship is made final.The application procedure for the scholarship

The application form can be saved as a Word document or a PDF file.
The application should be duly filled and signed by the applicant and attested by the Principal of the institution, before being mailed to the Birla Foundation. Applicants can enclose supporting documents as an attachment.
Alternatively, the Head of the Institute from which the applicant qualified their SSC / Class XII boards or the Institute Head of where they are enrolled can forward the application. Mailing address
