All the parameters which determine your marks in the exam are discussed below.

  • Make good notes:
It is always a good habit to make good notes of whatever your instructor is teaching. You need to make sure that whatever you write down should be easy to understand when referred. Make use of small sketches to have a good understanding of the topic. Creativity in notes will make it easy to remember things. If you are able to relate the topic with something funny then note it down so that it will be easy for you to co-relate with it before exams. This kind of technique is called mind mapping.

  • Revise for 15-20 mins
It is very important to revise whatever had been taught in the classroom. You might be thinking that you understood the topic thoroughly but unless you revise it again, it ain't be staying in your head. Just take out 15-20 mins a day and you will feel the difference when you study before your exams. This is a very effective way to remember whatever had been taught.

  • Do group studying
Some people find it difficult to study in a group. They believe that they might get disturbed because of others. But that is partially correct. You should know when to study in a group. If you think you have missed most of the classes and doesn't have an idea about important topics, you should prefer studying in a group. As people discuss the syllabus, you can grab important stuff from them and then plan your way of studying. Also, when you are done with your syllabus, you should mingle up with your classmates to double check if you haven't missed out something important.

  • Analyse your teacher
During the end of session days, your teacher will try to give you some hints about the questions, do listen to them properly. Also, he will tell you what he is expecting in the exam. Write the exam according to his expectations. Some teachers expect you to draw diagrams and write short explanations. While others prefer to see long answers for every question. So, you need to know what exactly is expected. Do not write long paras which might result in irritating your teacher and perhaps you lose marks. Whenever he says that he had made the question paper, that is the time when the questions are fresh in his mind. Listen to his words properly during that time. Also, if he tries to complete some topic in a hurry at the end sessions, then you ought to comprehend that those topics are definitely going to come in exam. These are some important tricks to know about the expected questions in the exam.

  • Use to exact terminology
It is often seen that students use their own vocabulary to explain their answers. There is certain terminology related to a question which needs to be present in that answer. If your checker doesn't find those terminologies in your answer, you might lose marks even though your explanation is correct. So, always try to use exact terminology which is supposed to be present.

  • Write what is expected
You should always try to write the exam as per your teacher's expectations. Questions containing more marks should always be explained with the help of diagrams. Take help of internet to find good diagrams related to your topics. Your efforts will be appreciated if you show diagrams different from others.

Students may also try working on one point at a time if they feel difficulty in following all the steps at once and shall move on to master another step gradually. If someone is able to inculcate these techniques in their studying program, then they are sure to see results in no time and in turn would be able to increase their daily productivity and achieve great values along the way.
