JAM 2019JAM (Joint Admission Test) is conducted to provide admissions to M.Sc, Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D, M.Sc.-Ph.D Dual Degree and other post bachelor degree programs at IITs which were located at Bhubaneshwar, Bhilai, Bombay, Dhanbad, Delhi, Guwahati, Gandhinagar, Hyderabad, Jodhpur, Indore, Kanpur, Madras, Kharagpur, Patna. Palakkad, Roorkee, Varanasi and Ropar. JAM score can also be used for admissions to the integrated Ph.D programmes at Indian Institute of Science IISc, Bangalore. JAM Score is also used for admissions to programmes at Centrally funded technical institutions like IIEST Shibpur, NITs, IISERs and SLIET Punjab.
JAM 2019 PatternJAM 2019 is held in computer based mode in two sessions i.e 9 AM to 12 Noon and 2 PM to 5 PM. Questions in the test are divided to following 3 sections:
JAM Syllabus 2019JAM test consists of questions related to the following subjects from 10+2+3 level i.e. Biological Sciences (BL), Mathematics (MA), Physics (PH), Biotechnology (BT), Chemistry (CY), Geology (GG) and Mathematical Statistics (MS).
Eligibility CriteriaCandidates must have completed their Bachelor's Degree with at least 55% (for General/ OBC (NCL)) and 50% (SC/ST, PwD) marks.
Application ProcessInterested and eligible candidates can apply for JAM 2019 through JOAPS (JAM Online Application Processing System) link which is available at the website: http://jam.iitkgp.ac.in. Application process starts from 5th September 2018. At the time of application candidates need to upload category certificate/ PwD certificate if applicable. Candidates need to pay the application fee in online mode only. Last date for online application is 10th October 2018. Candidates can download admit card from website from 4th January 2019.
