Admissions 2018

National Law School of India University has announced admissions to the following list of programmes for the academic year 2018 - 2019 through distance learning mode. Annual or Supplementary exams of these courses will be conducted at Bangalore, Kolkata, Delhi and Pune.

  2. Post Graduate Diploma in Human Rights Law (PGDHRL)
  3. Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Law and Ethics (PGDMLE)
  4. Post Graduate Diploma in Environmental Law (PGDEL)
  5. Post Graduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Rights Law (PGDIPRL)
  6. Post Graduate Diploma in Child Rights Law (PGDCRL)
  7. Post Graduate Diploma in Consumer Law and Practice (PGDCLP)
  8. Post Graduate Diploma in Cyber Law and Cyber Forensics (PGDCLCF)


Duration of the courses

Duration of Master of Business Laws programme is two years and duration of all post graduate diploma programmes is 1 year.

Eligibility Criteria

Graduate of any discipline from a recognized institute or University are eligible to apply for Post graduate degree programme (MBL) and Post graduate diploma progammes mentioned above.

Application process

Interested and eligible candidates who are willing to apply for Post graduate degree programme (MBL) and Post graduate diploma programmes in National Law School of India University, Bangalore can apply in two modes. One is Online mode, in which candidates can fill application online at website: "https://dednlsiu.edchemy.com/sites/dednlsiu.edchemy.com/register.html". Candidates willing to apply in offline mode can download the application form from the website: "http://ded.nls.ac.in/wp-content/uploads/2018/09/Admissions-Notification-Application-2018-19.pdf". Applications can also be obtained by writing to the below mentioned address, along with the DD of Rs. 1500/- which is drawn in favour of NLSIU DED Course, payable at Bangalore.



Last date to submit applications with out late fee is 30th September 2018 and with late fee of Rs. 500/- is 15th October 2018. Candidates need to submit application form along with attested copies of certificates which are attested by any Gazetted Officer (in case degree certificate not issued by the university, a provisional passing certificate which is issued by the university and attested copies of marks statement of all years should be furnished), DD of Rs. 1500/- which is drawn in favour of NLSIU DED Course, payable at Bangalore, 2 passport size photographs to the below address.
Candidates have to mark the title of the course clearly on the envelope.

Fee details

Admission fee for all courses is Rs. 2500/- and Course fee details are as follows:

  • Master of Business Laws Programme (MBL): Rs. 30,300/- per Annum
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Human Rights Law (PGDHRL): Rs. 11,200/- per Annum
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Law and Ethics (PGDMLE): Rs. 30,200/- per Annum
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Environmental Law (PGDEL): Rs. 11,200/- per Annum
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Rights Law (PGDIPRL): Rs. 30,200/- per Annum
