Eligibility criteria for DAIS admissions 2020
Prior to applying for admission, parents should confirm that their ward(s) fulfil the following eligibility criteria -
For LKG admission: The child should be born between October 1, 2015, and September 30, 2016 (both days inclusive).
For Class VIII admission (both ICSE and IGCSE): The student should have successfully completed Class VII and should have been promoted to Class VIII from a recognized school, before joining DAIS.
For Class XI IB Diploma admission: The student should have successfully completed Class X from a recognized Secondary Education Board before joining DAIS. Information sessions for parents

Applications for admission should be submitted online at the Dhirubhai Ambani International School official website with a registered log in ID. The same login ID can be used to fill up an application for siblings. The registration fee is Rs.5000/-. There may be additional convenience charges based on the mode of payment as charged by the Payment gateway.
Important note for admission to Class VIII: During the online application, ensure that you correctly select either ICSE or IGCSE. Once the online application for admission is submitted, you cannot change the stream later.General instructions
It is advisable for parents to apply via a desktop or a laptop and not a smartphone. Also, use the latest version of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer (IE10 or above) browser.
The name of the student must exactly match the name that is on the birth certificate. In case there is no middle name, that field should be left blank. The student's photo should be a colour passport-size photograph of size 5.5cm x 4.5cm on white, red or blue background. The photo and relevant documents to be uploaded should have a File size which does not exceed 5MB. Only PNG, JPG or JPEG format files can be uploaded. Ensure that you have the following documents scanned and ready to be uploaded for the online application process:
For LKG: A self-attested copy of the child's birth certificate and school reports, if any. Misplaced the birth certificate? Learn how to apply for a duplicate birth certificate.
For Class VIII: First, you need to upload a self-attested copy of the child's birth certificate. Next, self-attested copies of school reports of the last three years as well as the current year (2019-20) should be uploaded. Thirdly, the student has to write a Personal Statement on a separate sheet (not more than 500 words). This personal statement should be about his/her areas of interests and achievements and stating in what way studying at DAIS would help him/her achieve his/her goals and aspirations.
For IDBP Class XI: A self-attested copy of the student's birth certificate and self-attested copies of school reports of the last three years and the current year (2019-20). Then you need to upload a self-attested copy of the certificate/report card/document which is evidence of having sucessfully completing Class X. Next, if the student has had achievements in academics or sports or co-curricular activities, the self-attested documents pertaining to these should be uploaded in the 'additional information' page of the application. Also required is a Personal Statement (not more than 500 words). This personal statement should be about the student's academic interests, interests in co-curricular activities, achievements, and in what way studying at DAIS would help him/her achieve his/her goals and aspirations while contributing to the life of the schools and broader community.
Last date to apply online for 2020-21 admissions: 12th September 2019.
After application
For students fulfilling the eligibility criterion for admission to Lower Kindergarten (LKG), parents will be intimated via email about the further procedure.
For Class VIII, students who fulfil the eligibility criteria will be required to appear for an Aptitude Test, scheduled for 19th October 2019. Those shortlisted after this test will then be invited for an interactive session at the school.
For Class XI IB Diploma Programme, registered applicants satisfying the eligibility criteria will be required to appear for an Admission Test. There are two stages to this test:
Stage 1: This is a multiple-choice type Test of 1 hour 30 minutes, having questions related to Logical Reasoning, Mathematics, and English Language. Those shortlisted from this test will be required to appear for the second stage of the test.
Test date: 5th October 2019.
Stage 2: This is a descriptive written test of 3 hours' duration, related to English, Mathematics, and an Elective Paper (Social Studies or Science).
Test date: 6th October 2019.
The shortlisted students from this stage will be invited for an Interactive Session at the school in the second week of November 2019. 2020 Academic commencement schedule
