At Madurai Kamaraj University

Madurai Kamaraj University is a UGC-approved university with headquarter at Madurai in Tamil Nadu. The University started running correspondence courses in 1971 and the Directorate of Distance Education (DDE) was formed in 1996. Along with many other courses, DDE of the university runs Master of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication through correspondence. Uttarakhand Open University is the only open university of the state of Uttarakhand with headquarter at Haldwani. It was established in 2005.
