An exhaustive article by the author on the places to visit during Christmas and new year.

Given a choice to choose one out of these, I will suggest Ooty which is really a fabulous and picturesque place to visit and enjoy the natural beauty.

I had gone there and the hill train (toy train) journey from Mettupalayam to Ooty is unforgettable.

Ooty has so many sightseeing and other places that visitors will be fully occupied and will enjoy the variety there.

Many people belonging to North India are familiar with the Himalayan hills and cannot imagine that similar hill ranges are there in Southern India also especially in Kerala, Tamilnadu and Karnataka. For me also it was a surprise when I went to Ooty and thereafter to Munnar in Kerala. I feel these two are the best of the lot there.
