Book tickets for 2018 WR Winter Special Trains from Mumbai to Delhi, Gujarat, Mangalore


Want to book train tickets from Mumbai to New Delhi for the Christmas festival? Travelling to Gujarat or Mangalore in December 2018? This article provides the schedule of December 2018-January 2019 WR special trains operating between Mumbai and the cities of Delhi, Gandhidham, Bhavnagar and Mangalore.

Western Railway is operating special trains on special fares this month to enable travellers heading out from Mumbai to the capital city, Gandhidham, Bhavnagar and Mangalore to celebrate the Christmas festive season and year-end celebrations with their near and dear ones.

Mumbai – New Delhi Trains

There are eight trips aboard superfast AC special trains which will operate on a bi-weekly basis between Mumbai and Delhi from 21st to 31st December 2018. The trains are -
  1. Train No. 09005: 21st December to 30th December 2018.
    Departure from Mumbai Central at 16:00hrs on Friday and Sunday.
    Arrival at New Delhi at 07.55hrs. on the next day.

  2. Train No.09006: 22nd December to 31st December 2018.
    Departure from New Delhi at 14.50hrs on Monday and Saturday.
    Arrival at Mumbai Central at 06.55hrs. on the next day.

Halts to and fro: Vadodara and Kota.
Composition: 1st AC, AC-2 Tier, AC-3 Tier Coaches and Pantry Car.

There will also be four trips on superfast AC special trains between Bandra Terminus and New Delhi. The trains are -
  1. Train No. 04049: 25th December and 29th December 2018.
    Departure from Bandra Terminus at 21.40hrs.
    Arrival at New Delhi at 16.30hrs. on the next day.
    Halts: Borivali, Surat, Vadodara, Ratlam and Kota stations.

  2. Train No. 04050: 24th December and 28th December 2018.
    Departure from New Delhi at 23.00hrs.
    Arrival at Bandra Terminus at 16.45hrs. on the next day.
    Halts: Vasai Road, Surat, Vadodara, Ratlam and Kota stations.

Composition: AC-3 Tier coaches.



Mumbai – Gandhidham Trains

There are four trips which will operate on a weekly basis between Mumbai and Gandhidham on 22nd and 29th December 2018. The trains are -
  1. Train No.09433: 22nd December to 29th December 2018.
    Departure from Bandra (T) at 00.25hrs. on Saturday.
    Arrival at Gandhidham at 13.50hrs. on the same day.

  2. Train No. 09424: 22nd December to 29th December 2018.
    Departure from Gandhidham at 16.35hrs. on Saturday.
    Arrival at Bandra (T) at 06.15hrs. on the next day.

Halts to and fro: Borivali, Vapi, Surat, Vadodara, Anand, Nadiad, Ahmedabad, Dhrangadhra, Samakhiali and Bhachau.
Composition: AC-2 Tier, AC-3 Tier, Sleeper Class, General Second Class Coaches and Pantry Car.

Mumbai – Bhavnagar Trains

There are four trips which will operate on a weekly basis between Mumbai and Bhavnagar on 24th and 31st December 2018. The trains are -
  1. Train No.09201: 24th December to 31st December 2018.
    Departure from Bandra (T) at 05.10hrs on Monday.
    Arrival at Bhavnagar at 18.55hrs. on the same day.

  2. Train No.09202: 24th December to 31st December 2018.
    Departure from Bhavnagar at 21.50hrs on Monday.
    Arrival at Bandra (T) at 11.55hrs. on the next day.

Halts: Borivali, Vapi, Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Virangam and Botad.
Composition: AC-2 Tier, AC-3 Tier and AC Chair Car Coaches.

Mumbai – Mangalore Jn. Trains

There are four trips which will operate on a weekly basis between Mumbai and Bhavnagar from 25th December to 2nd January 2019. The trains are -
  1. Train No.09009: 25th December 2018 and 1st January 2019.
    Departure from Bandra (T) at 23.55hrs. on Tuesday.
    Arrival at Mangalore Jn. At 19.45hrs. on the next day.

  2. Train No. 09010: 26th December 2018 and 2nd January 2019.
    Departure from Mangalore Jn. At 23.00hrs. on Wednesday.
    Arrival at Bandra (T) at 19.30hrs. on the next day.

Halts to and fro: Borivali, Vasai Road, Panvel, Roha, Khed, Chiplun, Sanmeshawar Road, Ratnagirir, Kankavli, Kudal, Sawantwadi Road, Thivim, Madgaon, Karwar, Kumta, Bhatkal, Mookambika Road Byndoor, Kundapura, Udupi, Mulki and Surathkal.
Composition: AC-2 Tier, AC-3 Tier, Sleeper Class and General Second Class Coaches.



How to book online tickets

Bookings have already opened some days ago at all Passenger Reservation Centres. You can also book online directly at the IRCTC website. Make sure that you carry valid ID proof for all reserved tickets.

For IRCTC booking, you need to open an account at the IRCTC e-Ticketing website.
