Azim Premji Foundation Schools' recruitment of Teachers and Teacher Educators 2019

Eligible candidates are invited to apply to take up the roles of Teachers at the Azim Premji Foundation schools and as Teacher Educators in their District institutes. Those who apply have to appear for a written test, The date of the test is 23rd September 2019.

Salary offered

A salary is offered for candidates which is commensurate with their qualifications and experience.



Role of Teachers and requirements

Teachers are required for various schools of the Foundation who will work on developing the students to become sensitive and engaged citizens. There are 50 vacancies and as per subjects, at the following locations:
  1. Barmer (Rajasthan): Primary teachers for all subjects.

  2. Dhamtari (Chhattisgarh): For Fine Arts, Early Childhood Education, Economics, Hindi, Math, Physics, History, Political Science, and Sociology.

  3. Kalaburgi (Karnataka): Primary Teachers for all subjects and for Social Science.

  4. Sirohi (Rajasthan): For English, Chemistry and for Sports as well.

  5. Tonk (Rajasthan): For English, Maths, and Physics.

  6. Udham Singh Nagar (Uttarakhand): For Early Childhood Education, English, and Maths.

  7. Uttarkashi (Uttarakhand): For Early Childhood Education, English, Primary section (all subjects), and Special Education.

  8. Yadgir (Karnataka): For Fine Arts, Early Childhood Education, Math, Physics, Chemistry, Geography, and Special Education.

Eligibility criteria

You must have a recognized Bachelor's Degree in the subject which you will be teaching and a teaching Degree (B.Ed., D.Ed. or D.El.Ed.). Knowledge of the local language and English is a mandatory requirement. It is also desirable to have some teaching experience, but this is not a mandatory requirement.



Role of Teacher Educator and requirements

The selected candidate will work as Teacher Educators in the Foundation's District Institutes. Their function is to work with government school teachers and Head Teachers to assist them to build their professional abilities and become better teachers. The State where the District institutes where the 300 vacancies are located are:
  1. Chhattisgarh

  2. Karnataka

  3. Madhya Pradesh

  4. Puducherry

  5. Rajasthan

  6. Telangana

  7. Uttarakhand

The teacher educator opportunities are for those who can work with teachers in school education and Early Childhood Education.

Eligibility criteria

You must be a Graduate or have a Postgraduate degree in the relevant subject and a minimum of two years of teaching experience. Those having substantial on-field experience in education NGOs can also apply. Selected candidates should be willing to travel within the District/State.
