Online applications open for MAH-CET 2019 MBA and MMS Degree courses

Are you seeking to get admission to a management course in a college or university in Maharashtra? For this, you need to appear for the Common Entrance Test 2019 which is conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra. Details of the eligibility criteria, application fee, and the online registration procedure have been provided in this article.

The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra has announced the schedule for the Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission to the first year of the two-year full-time Post Graduate Degree course in Management for the academic year 2019-2020. Those seeking admission to the MBA/MMS full-time management course should apply online and appear for the CET schedule to be held in March 2019. The courses for which this CET is conducted are those which are conducted by Government, Government-aided, University Managed, University Departments and unaided institutes in Maharashtra.

Eligibility requirements

In order to be eligible to appear for MAH-MBA/MMS CET 2019, you should have passed the Bachelor's Degree exam (it should be of three years' duration), the Degree being awarded by any of the UGC-recognized Universities or by the Association of Indian Universities in any discipline. For the Degree qualifying exam, you should have scored minimum 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent (45% for candidates of backward class categories and PWD candidates of Maharashtra State only). Alternately, you should have appeared in the final year exam of any Bachelor's degree to be awarded by any of the Universities recognized by UGC or Association of Indian Universities in any discipline.

Note: Where applicable, candidates will need to produce the valid caste certificate at the time of documents' verification.

Application fees

The processing fee for the online application should be paid online only by Credit card/Debit card, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash cards/Mobile wallets. There will be service charges applicable, too, for this. Other modes of payment are not acceptable and the application fee will not be refunded for any reason.

The fee is as follows-
  1. General category candidates from Maharashtra: Rs.1000/-.

  2. General category candidates from Outside Maharashtra State (OMS candidates): Rs.1000/-.

  3. J&K Migrant Candidates: Rs.1000/-.

  4. Reserved category candidates of Backward Class Categories (SC, ST, VJ/DT-NT(A), NT(B), NT(C), NT(D), OBC, SBC, SEBC) and Persons with Disability candidates of Maharashtra: Rs.800/-.

MAH-CET 2019 MBA and MMS Test Format

The test will be in English medium only, of 150 minutes' duration. It will have multiple choice objective type questions, with five options. Every correct answer will get one mark. Incorrect answers will not get negative marks.

The sections of the test (total 200 marks) include:
  1. Logical Reasoning (75 questions).

  2. Abstract Reasoning (25 questions).

  3. Quantitative Aptitude (50 questions).

  4. Verbal Ability / Reading Comprehension (50 questions).

How to apply

Applications should be made online only and applications sent by post/courier etc will be rejected. It is advisable to first check out the details from the CET Information brochure which is available at the official website.

Register and fill up the MAH-CET 2019 MBA and MMS online application form. Note that no documents are required to be submitted at the stage of registration for CET, but you will need to upload scanned images of your signature and photograph. Accordingly, you are advised to read the instructions for uploading these.

Note: All the requisite original documents must be ready for verification at the time when the document verification process is conducted during the Centralized Admission Process (CAP).

Important dates

The schedule of MAH-CET 2019 MBA/MMS is as follows-
  1. Online registration and confirmation of application form: 10th January to 15th February 2019.

  2. Issue of Admit Card: 1st March 2019 onwards.

  3. Date of online MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2019: 9th March to 10th March 2019.

  4. Declaration of results: 31st March 2019.
