Overview Andhra Pradesh Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions (APSWREIS) is conducting a general recruitment drive to hire qualified candidates at its institutions within the State. There are a total of 552 vacancies for Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs), 27 for the post of Principal, 167 for the post of Caretaker (Warden) and four for the post of District Coordinator across the four zones of the State. The pay scale is as follows -
Age criteriaYou should not be less than 18 years of age or more than 44 years of age as on 1st January 2019. The age criteria will be relaxed for SC/ST/BC by 5 years and for physically handicapped candidates by 10 years. Those who are currently working as contract Teachers in APSWREIS with at least 6 months of service will be allowed age relaxation of 3 years (the experience will not be considered if less than six months). In the case of ex-Serviceman, 3 years relaxation will be allowed, plus the length of service in the Armed forces.
Educational qualifications and Experience
Additional weightage will be given to candidates with M.Phil., Ph.D., MBA/PG Diploma in Management and those with experience as Head Master/ Principal in Govt/Govt Aided institutions.
Additional weightage will be given to candidates with M.Phil., Ph.D., PGDCA with papers published in reputed Journals and those with experience as Head Master/ Principal in Govt/Govt Aided institutions.
The eligible subjects for selection of TGT are: Telugu, English, Hindi, Mathematics, Phy. Science, Bio. Science, Social.
Additional weightage will be given to those with experience as a Contract Teacher, provided this experience is not less than six months.
Additional weightage will be given to those having three years' Degree in Hotel Management from a Government recognized institution and also those with experience as a Contract Teacher provided this experience is not less than six months.
How to applyApplications should be submitted online only at the the official APSWREIS recruitment website after paying the application fee online. You can fill up a single application even if applying for more than one post, but in such a case, you will be required to pay the fee for each. The fee is Rs.500/- for each post. Note that you must not upload any certificates at the time of submitting the online application.
After the closing date of the online application, you will be allocated an exam centre, the intimation of which will be done through the official website/social media platforms/SMS along with instructions about downloading of the Hall Tickets.
Selection processCandidates for all the posts have to appear for a computer-based online test at the exam centre allotted to them. The format is as follows-
Part II includes general awareness, school administration and academic supervision, RTI Act and RTE Act, computer knowledge, etc.
Part II includes GK and current affairs, Educational Psychology, contemporary issues in various fields and monitoring of leadership skills, computer skills, etc.
Part II includes GK and current affairs, the content of the subject, the methodology of the subject, etc.
Part II includes general studies and mental ability, the foundation of education, trends in education, etc.

Teaching is a very good profession as it gives one the opportunity to learn continuously in order to cope up with the changing curriculum. Another good thing which I personally like about teaching is it gives an opportunity to write books, articles and guide books which have a good demand in the market. So one can use one's knowledge in that way also.
Teaching is not an easy profession. It has its own charm only when a person is ready to endure for learning throughout his life. I have an experience of teaching for 3 years and when I joined it, I found that I was not thorough in the subject and it required me to work harder for the first year to come to the expectations of the students.
It is amusing to note that I did not prepare and work hard so much during my student life!
