How to get admission for MA, M.Sc and M.S.W programs?

The admission for MA, M.Sc and M.S.W programs is mainly based on the marks obtained in the Entrance Examination /interview which will be conducted on May 2019. If you are interested to join the M.A. Music, Bharathanatyam, Mohiniyattom and Theatre programs at this university, then you need to attend the Aptitude as well as practical test in addition to the written test.

Eligibility criteria for programmes offered at Kalady Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit


  • MA, M.Sc and M.S.W programs: Candidates with a degree of Kalady Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit or a degree (regular/distant mode) recognized by this University under the 10+2+3 pattern are eligible for this program


  • M.P.Ed programs: Candidates with a minimum of 50% marks in Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed) of 3 year duration of any University recognized by Kalady Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit OR have passed a Post Graduate Degree in Physical Education of at least one year duration of an Indian or Foreign University or board approved by the Education Department of the State or Union territory recognized by the Kalady Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit are eligible to apply for this program. In the case of SC/ST candidates, there will be a 5% marks relaxation.


  • MFA programs: Candidates who have passed the Bachelor Degree in Fine Arts of any University recognized by Kalady Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit with a minimum of
    55% marks in aggregate are eligible to apply for this 2-year program. There will be a 5% marks relaxation for SC/ST candidates.


  • P.G.Diploma in Translation and Office Proceedings in Hindi: Candidates with a degree in any discipline recognized by Kalady Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit are eligible for this program


Selection process

As I mentioned earlier, the candidates will be selected based on their performance at entrance examination/interview and aptitude test and interview as the case may be. For each branch/subject, there will be a separate entrance examination/interview. If you are interested to apply for any of the courses like MSW, M.P.Ed., MFA, MA and M.Sc programs, then you need to submit separate application forms for MSW, M.P.Ed., MFA and each subject of M.A.& M Sc programs.

Entrance exam fees

The entrance exam fees for each course is mentioned below. If you are appearing for the Entrance Examination for more than one subject of M.A. Program, then you need to pay the fees separately.
  • MA : Rs 100/-
  • M.Sc : Rs 110/-
  • MSW & MFA : Rs 250/-
  • M.P.Ed. : Rs 500/-

Is there any entrance fees relaxation for SC/ST candidates?

Yes, they need to pay the following fees.
  • M.A & M Sc : Rs.25/-
  • M.S.W.& MFA : Rs 50/-
  • M.P.Ed : Rs 100/-
  • P.G Diploma : Rs 100/-

How to pay the entrance exam fees?

The entrance exam fees can be paid online or by way of SSUS chalan receipt that can be remitted at any branch of the Union Bank of India.

How to submit the print copy of online application form?

Printed copy of the online application shall be sent to the Heads of concerned Departments for courses at Main Centre, Kalady / Directors of Regional Centres for courses offered at Regional Centres on or before 4 May 2019 with copies of all documents as a proof of qualification, community/caste, income and the original fee receipt/DD.
