Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) at seven locations are inviting applications for admission to BS Degree and BS-MS Dual Degree programs for the academic session beginning in 2019.

At each of the IISER institutes (the complete list is provided at the end of this article), which have been set up by the Govt. of India, you will get the opportunity to acquire an interdisciplinary science education and take up research work. You get exposure to superb research facilities at the very outset and are taught by highly qualified and motivated faculty. Additionally, you can enroll for research internships along with a research project which will lead to an MS thesis.

Features of Dual BS-MS Dual Degree Program

This is a five-year residential program for science students for a duration of five years, wherein you are required to stay in the well-equipped campus hostel. As a student, you get access to all the facilities, including medical, sports and recreational facilities. The campus libraries have online resources along with journals, books, periodicals, etc. Academic classroom lessons are not the only aspect of the course. You also work on research projects of an interdisciplinary nature. During your first two years, the learning modules are related to multiple fields of science and in the later years, you have the option to select a specific discipline, with first-hand research experience gained during the final year of the course. Scholarship schemes are also available (see details provided later in this article).

It should be noted that you can pursue a four-year BS program in Engineering Sciences and Economics only at IISER Bhopal. For admission to both these programs, you must have done Mathematics at the 10+2 level.
