Getting your servant verified with police is a difficult job for some people. But it is mandatory to get your house helper verified with local police. It is not necessary that such a house helper is a full-time maid or a male servant only. It could be your cook, nanny, immigrant servants, floating labourers, a watchman as employed by RWAs, a plumber, an electrician or a driver. Many people migrate from their small towns or villages to earn bread for their families. Some of them are of suspicious character while others are having a criminal background as well. Not all people are a fraud, but who knows what is hidden in anybody's mind. Though 70%- 80% domestic helpers are loyal and of good character, it is in your interest to get them verified, no matter how much loyal they are with you or how much you trust them.

If you are running a business wherein your employee visits different houses (like working as a carpenter, a painter, etc.), then it is even more necessary to get your employees verified. If any crime takes place at their place, then you will be answerable to the police as the suspect was your employee and it was your duty to get him/her verified.
