Institute for the Physically Handicapped, New Delhi is an autonomous organization under the financial and administrative control of the ministry of social justice and empowerment, Government of India. It was registered as a society in the year 1976. It has been renamed as "Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya Institute for the Physically Handicapped" in the year 2002 and it has become National Institute in 2016 and renamed as Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya National Institute for Persons with Physical Disabilities (DIVYANGJAN) PDUNIPPD. This institute is maintained especially for the persons with locomotor disabilities of all age groups.
This institute runs following long term duration courses of four and half year duration which are affiliated to the University of Delhi: Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT), Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (BOT), Bachelor of Prosthetics & Orthotics (BPO). This institute also offers short term training programmes, orientation & awareness programmes.

Candidates applying for BPO, BPT, BOT courses must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English (PCBE) for BPT/BOT passed in each subject separately.
Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology and English (PCME/PCBE) for BPO passed in each subject separately.
The selection of the candidate for admission will be made based on the candidate's performance in the entrance test which will be held on 16th June 2019. The duration of the test will be three hours and test consist of multiple choices, objective type questions which are based on the senior secondary school curriculum.

The question paper consists of followings four parts:
Interested and eligible candidates are requested to apply online through website"www.iphnewdelhi.in" or "www.pdunippd.in" from 19th April 2019 and the last date for application is 18th May 2019. The application fee for General/ OBC/ EWS/ CWAPP/ Other candidates is Rs. 1200/- and for PH/ ST/ SC candidates Rs. 600/-.The payment should be done through online itself using credit/debit card and internet banking. Admit card for the entrance exam will be available from the first week of June which can be downloaded from the institute website.
