This is a good opportunity for the students who have an interest in drama, acting and theatre activities. Actually these types of centres were set up by the Sangeet Natak Akademi as its constituent parts to spread theatre development in the country and make such institutions available to interested people. The Bangalore centre was the first in this series and covers the areas corresponding to states of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala. These centre are very active in imparting training in the field of drama and theatrics and they also conduct useful workshops from time to time in the related areas in collaboration with state agencies.
