Central University of Tool Design is a premier technical training institution of India . This institute was established in the year 1968 by the Ministry of MSME, Government of India. This institute provides specialized training courses such as Post Diploma, Certification Diploma, M.E., M.Tech., Post Graduate in CAD, CAM, VLSI, Tool Design and Manufacturing, Embedded systems, mechatronics, electronics, and robotics.
Central Institute of Tool Design (CITD) has announced admissions 2019 into full-time two years Master of Engineering (M.E) programs in following fields in collaboration with Osmania University:
Candidates have to fulfill the following minimum eligibility criteria to apply for admission:
M.E Mechanical CAD/ CAM
Candidates who have secured minimum 55% of marks in B.E./ B.Tech. in Production Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/ Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent degree from the institutions approved by the AICTE.
M.E Tool Design
Candidates who have secured minimum 55% of marks in B.E./ B.Tech. in Production Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree from the institutions approved by the AICTE.
M.E Design for Manufacture
Candidates who have secured minimum 55% of marks in B.E./ B.Tech. in Production Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/ Aeronautical Engineering/ Automobile Engineering/ Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent degree from the institutions approved by the AICTE.
For Industry sponsored candidates:
Application for the course can be done in two modes- offline and online. Candidates applying in offline mode have to download the application form from the website: www.citindia.org. And have to send the filled in application form along with DD of Rs. 800/- (For General) and Rs. 400/- (For SC/ ST), which is drawn in favor of Principal Director, CITD, Hyderabad to the below address. PWD candidates are fully exempted from paying the application fee.

Candidates applying in online mode can submit an application online at the official website. And steps for online payment of application fee can be found in prospects available at the website.
Selection of candidates for admission will be done based on the candidate's performance in the entrance test conducted by the institute. Entrance test consists of 100 objective type questions related to the subjects - Engineering materials, foundry, welding, metal working, machine tools, machining processes, machine design, Industrial engineering, statics, dynamics, production management, strength of materials, theory of machines, metrology, limits, fits and tolerances, engineering drawing and psychometric test. Duration of the test is 1 1/2 hours. This entrance test will be conducted at University College of Engineering, Osmania University, Hyderabad on 16th June 2019 (Tentative date).
