Regional Institute of Education Mysuru recruitment of Teachers and Lab Assistants 2019-2020


Are you looking for teaching career opportunities at one of the Regional Institutes of Education? RIE Mysore is conducting a recruitment drive through walk-in interviews for PGT, TGT, and other teaching positions. Lab Assistants are also required. This article provides complete information on the eligibility requirements and interview dates and times for each post.

Regional Institute of Education, Mysuru is conducting walk-in interviews for various teaching and non-teaching positions on contractual basis for the academic session 2019-2020. The medium of instruction is English. Candidates who have served in RIE Mysuru/D.M.School for three academic sessions in any capacity cannot apply for these vacancies.

About RIE Mysuru

The Regional Institute of Education Mysore (now Mysuru) was set up by the National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT), New Delhi. There are four other RIEs in India, at Shillong, Ajmer, Bhubaneswar, and Bhopal. RIE Mysuru offers educational programs for pre-service teachers as well as for those in service. Like other RIEs, it also has a Demonstration Multipurpose School (DMS) which is where institute trainees get hands-on practical training and the opportunity for teachers to come up with new, unique methods of teaching and work on the development of the curriculum.

Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs)

One post each for Mathematics, Commerce, History, and Hindi.
Age: max. 40 years.
Consolidated remuneration: Rs.27,500/- p.m.
Interview: 23rd May 2019, 10a.m.-1p.m.
Eligibility: Integrated Postgraduate M.Sc.Ed/Postgraduate course of M.Sc. from RIE of NCERT in the relevant subject (refer to the official notification for acceptable optional qualifications).

Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs)

One post each for (i) Physical Education, and (ii) for Guidance Counsellor.
Age: max. 35 years.
Consolidated remuneration: Rs.27,500/- p.m.
Interview: 23rd May 2019, 2p.m.-6p.m.
Eligibility:
For (i) M.P.Ed. with min.50% in aggregate, with knowledge of computers and proficiency to teach in English medium.

For (ii) M.A./M.Sc. (Psychology) and a regular one-year PG Diploma in Guidance and Counselling (refer to the official notification for acceptable optional qualifications).



Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs)

One post each for Science (Physics), Social Science, and Mathematics and two posts for English.
Age: max. 35 years.
Consolidated remuneration: Rs.26,250/- p.m.
Interview: 24th May 2019, 10a.m.-1p.m.
Eligibility: Four years Integrated B.Sc.Ed./B.Sc., B.Ed. Degree course of RIE of NCERT in the relevant subject with min.50% marks in aggregate (refer to the official notification for acceptable optional qualifications).

Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs)

One post each for Kannada, Hindi, and Sanskrit.
Consolidated remuneration: Rs.26,250/- p.m.
Interview: 24th May 2019, 2p.m.-6p.m.
Eligibility: same as mentioned above for the other TGT posts.

Work Experience Teachers (WETs)

One post each for (i) Yoga, (ii) Home Science, (iii) Computer Science, (iv) Dance, and (v) Drama.
Age: max. 35 years.
Consolidated remuneration: Rs.26,250/- p.m.
Interview: 25th May 2019, 10a.m.-1p.m.
Eligibility:
For (i) Graduation in any subject and one year Yoga training from a recognized Institute.
For (ii) B.Sc. (Home Science), B.Ed.
For (iii) Three-year Diploma after Higher Secondary in Computer Science or Degree in Computer Science.
For (iv) Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts (Dance), Diploma in Dance, Certificate Course in Dance.
For (v) Bachelor's Degree in Drama.

Primary Teachers (PRTs)

There are six posts.
Age: below 30 years.
Consolidated remuneration: Rs.21,250/- p.m.
Interview: 25th May 2019, 2p.m.-6p.m.
Eligibility: Class XII with min.50%, and TCH or B.Ed./B.El.Ed./D.Ed.
and computer knowledge. Those with the competency to teach in English and Hindi medium along with other subjects will be given preference.

Pre-Primary/Nursery School Teachers

There are two posts.
Age: below 30 years.
Consolidated remuneration: Rs.21,250/- p.m.
Interview: 25th May 2019, 2p.m.-6p.m.
Eligibility: same as above for PRTs.

Laboratory Assistant

There is one post each for (i) Physics, and (ii) Computer Science.
Age: below 30 years.
Consolidated remuneration: Rs.17,000/- p.m.
Interview: 25th May 2019, 2p.m.-6p.m.
Eligibility:
For (i) B.Sc. (PCM) or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and experience of dealing with Mechanical/Electrical and Electronic Science instruments. Knowledge of computer hardware and networking is desirable.

For (ii) B.Sc. in Computer Science or Diploma in Computer Science and experience in handling a computer lab. Knowledge of computer applications is desirable.

Interview requirements

Candidates should check the recruitment notification at the official website to ensure that they fulfill all the requisite criteria. Those fulfilling all the eligibility requirements should attend the walk-in interview at RIE Mysuru (address given below) as per the schedule for the specific post with their C.V. and a recent passport size photo. Candidates should also bring along original testimonials, proof of age, caste certificate (if applicable), and a set of copies of self-attested testimonials for scrutiny one hour before the interview begins. Without the requisite documents, candidates will not be allowed to attend the interview.
