B.Voc in Food Processing and Sugar Technology admissions 2019

Central University of Karnataka has opened the admissions to various degree programmes for the academic year 2019-2020. Currently, the University Department of Food Processing and Sugar Technology has released the 2019 admission notice for B.Voc degree programmes. Candidates who satisfy the below-mentioned eligibility criteria can apply and pursue their course of study. The University strictly follows the admission guidelines and reservation policy as mentioned by the Government of India. The number of seats for B.Voc includes the supernumerary quota.

  • Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc) in Food Processing- 55 seats
  • Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc) in Sugar Technology- 55 seats


Eligibility criteria

  1. Candidates must have completed 10+2 or equivalent examination in any stream or at NSQF certification level. Equal weightage will be given to vocational subjects as well as other subjects at +2 level.
  2. No age limit for the admission into the B.Voc courses.
  3. Candidates who have obtained a minimum of 40% and more marks in the Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET)-2019 are eligible to apply. The minimum marks required for OBC (Non-creamy layer), SC/ST, PWD and Kashmiri Migrant candidates is 35%.


How to apply

For admissions into B.Voc degree courses, the Central University of Karnataka accepts the registration of the candidates by email and in person.

Interested candidates who satisfy the eligibility conditions can register their names by sending an email along with the necessary documents to the coordinator of the university department of Food Processing and Sugar Technology.

Application format for email: The application format for the email should contain the below-mentioned details. Candidates are requested to follow the application format and provide valid details while sending an email to the coordinator.

  2. Date of Birth
  3. Caste and Sub caste as per the GOI format ( attach soft copy)
  4. Marks obtained in the qualifying examination ( attach soft copy)
  5. CUCET 2019 registration number ( attach soft copy of the CUCET 2019 application generated form)
  6. Mobile number and email id
  7. Subject/s applied at Central University of Karnataka as mentioned in CUCET 2019.


For direct registration to the counselling process, the students have to visit the Food Processing and Sugar Technology department of the University and register their name in person along with the necessary documents.

The students must register their names on or before the last date. The university is not responsible for the delay in registration of the candidates due to any reasons.

During the admission and counselling process, candidates must take the following valid original documents and other proofs without fail.

  2. Community/Caste certificate
  3. Income certificate
  4. CUCET 2019 /K-CET 2019 mark card


Selection process

The admission process at CUK is purely based on the academic scores of the candidates. Only eligible candidates will be selected for the admissions through the counseling process.

CUK fills 50% of seats for B.Voc degree programmes based on the academic merit in the CUCET-2019 and the remaining 50% of seats will be filled based on the academic score of the candidates in Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET).

Under exception conditions, if the turnout of the application for B.Voc degree programmes is less than or equal to 50%, then the Central University of Karnataka will conduct a separate qualifying examination in the due course of time. The intimation of such exams will be updated on the university website. So, candidates are requested to visit the official website of the University frequently to get the updates related to admissions.
