Govt. BEE certified Energy Managers and Auditors refresher course online applications

Have you got a BEE certification to be a qualified Energy Manager or Energy Auditor? The Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), Ministry of Power, Govt. of India is conducting a refresher course for BEE certified Energy Managers (EMs) and Auditors (EAs). Accordingly, registrations are now open for eligible candidates.

Importance of the refresher course

Those who have passed the National Level Certification Examination conducted by BEE receive the certificate to be qualified as an Energy Manager or as an Energy Auditor as the case may be. However, as per regulations of BEE's certification procedures for Energy Managers), 2010, this certificate requires renewal after every five years. This renewal is done by attending a refresher training course conducted by BEE or an approved institute or organization.

The aim of the refresher course is to update the qualified Energy Managers on the current advanced technologies for energy management while implementing energy norms and standards. The course material is prepared by the National Productivity Council and current advances and developments are incorporated in the syllabus, such as smart cities and renewable energy, carbon footprints, energy efficient buildings, etc Keeping pace with the latest technologies will enable the Energy Managers and Auditors to have updated skills to meet challenges that come up in the present-day scenario of energy management/audit.

  • Module 1: Energy Scenario Updates
  • Module 2: Perform, Achieve and Trade (PAT) which explains specific energy efficiency improvements for the most energy-intensive industries.
  • Module 3: Key Thrust Areas of the 2001 Energy Conservation Act.
  • Module 4: Energy Efficiency Data Analytics.
  • Module 5: Energy Management System (ENMS):ISO 50001:2018.
  • Module 6: Measurement and Verification of Energy Performance of Organization.
  • Module 7: Best Practices, Technologies and Case Studies – Electrical and Thermal System
  • Module 8: Best Practices in building Energy Management and Conservation.
  • Module 9: Renewable Energy Technologies and Applications.
  • Module 10: Green House Gases (GHG) and Carbon Footprint Accounting and Reporting.

Who can apply

You should be an EM or EA who has passed the National Certification exam and received the 'Certified Energy Manager' certificate in February 2013 and March 2014. Those who had already registered for refresher course need not apply.
