Gulati Institute of Finance and Taxation (GIFT), formerly known as Centre for Taxation studies (CTS) was formed in the year 1992. It was in the year 2009 that CST was renamed as Gulati Institute of Finance and Taxation(GIFT) after eminent economist Professor I.S. Gulati. GIFT launched a Post Graduate Diploma in Goods and Services Taxation (PGD-GST) in 2018. English is the medium of instruction for this course and its examinations. A minimum attendance of 80 percent is mandatory to complete this program. Only those students who complete 120 hours of the training program will be provided the certificate. PGD-GST Course is of one year and there will be a training program of 120 hours which covers both theoretical as well as practical aspects of GST. This 120-hours training program will be conducted during the academic year in two streams, i.e. Weekdays and Weekends so that students, employed persons as well as those who pursue other courses can join this program.Age limit

The fees for PGD-GST should be paid through NEFT, RTGS, Debit/ Credit Cards or NET Banking only. No fees will be collected via cash, cheque or by demand draft.Examination
Every year the PGD-GST examination will be conducted during the months of April/May. The examination centers will be Thiruvananthapuram and Ernakulam. Eligibility to appear for PGD-GST examination
Students who pursue the PGD-GST course are eligible to appear for the examination once they have obtained the Training Certificate. This Training Certificate will be given to the students if they complete their training programs by fulfilling minimum attendance requirements. Remember that only those who have obtained Training Certificates will be eligible to apply & appear for the examination.Application forms and fees
The application for examination must be made in the prescribed form along with the examination fee. The fully completed application form should be submitted online. The examination fee is Rs. 885 (Rs.750 plus 18% GST) irrespective of the number of papers the candidate wishes to appear for. A candidate will be declared to pass the PGD-GST examination only if she/he obtains 50% marks in each paper. The examination results will be published in GIFT website, Kerala Tax Reporter [KTR] and major newspapers.Is there any revaluation allowed?
Yes, revaluation of the examination papers is allowed. The application for revaluation of answer sheets along with the required fees of Rs.118 (Rs.100 plus 18% GST) per paper should be submitted online.
