I think that these courses namely Post Graduate Diploma in Tool Design & CAD/ CAM (PGDTD & CC) and Post Diploma in Tool Design (PDTD) will be helpful for those students who want to gain skills in this particular area. Traditionally tool design was related to designing of Jigs and Fixtures, Press Tools, Die Casting, Plastic Moulds, Cutting Tools etc but now it is being used in the field of robotics and advanced engineering projects for speciality tool designs. So, this area is now getting momentum due to automation in many of the industrial processes and emerging of robotics and artificial intelligence era.
It makes sense to apply for such skill-enhancing courses in the tool designing area so that the person can take its advantage in the career-making in this specific stream.
