KNRUHS, Warangal admissions 2019 to Master of Public Health course at IIPH, Hyderabad

Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS) a private university in Warangal, Telangana has announced admissions into Master of Public Health (MPH) course for the academic year 2019 - 2020 at Indian Institute of Public Health (IIPH), Masthan Nagar, Kavuri Hills, Madhapur, Hyderabad. The duration of the course is 2 years which includes 2 months internship during the 4th semester. During the internship, students will undergo 2-month field training and require to submit an internship report dissertation. Selection of candidates for admission will be done based on the candidate's performance in the entrance test conducted by the university.

Total Intake of Students
The number of seats available for admissions into MPH course in IIPH, Madhapur affiliated to KNRUHS, Warangal is as follows:

  • Competent Authority Quota - 20 seats
  • Management Quota - 16 seats
  • Foreign National Quota - 4 seats

Eligibility criteria

Candidates have to fulfil the following eligibility criteria to apply for MPH Course in KNRUHS, Warangal:

  • Candidates who have secured minimum 50% of marks in Bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognized university by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The bachelor's degree-awarding University must be a member of Association of Indian Universities (AIU). If the degree is acquired from distance education mode, then it must be recognized by Distance Education Council (DEC).
  • The percentage will be calculated from the total marks in the first, second and third year under 10+2+3 scheme.
  • Foreign candidates of medical or paramedical have to submit equivalence certificate by the University of Health Sciences and temporary registration for the duration of PG training from the respective councils such as MCI, CCIM, DCI, INC, CCH, etc.
  • Candidates must have not secured not less than 40% marks (For SC, ST 40%) in the entrance test.
  • Candidates must be medically fit.
  • Foreign candidates other than medical or paramedical have to submit equivalence certificate from the council of Higher Education Andhra Pradesh/ Council of Higher Education Telangana, AIU, New Delhi, Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi

Application process

Interested and eligible candidates have to fill the online application form available in the official website of the university. The online application form will be available from 7th August 2019, 10 am to 21st August 2019 up to 5 pm. Candidates have to pay the application fee through debit card/ credit card/ net banking. After submitting the application, candidates have to take the printout of the online application form and a photo should be attested by a gazetted officer or principal of the college. Candidates have to submit the print-out of application along with copies of required certificates by superscribing the cover With the name of the applied-for "KNRUHS MPH ET-2019" to the below address by post or in person on or before 21st August 2019 till 5 pm.

Entrance test details

The computer-based entrance test consists of 100 multiple choice questions and the duration of the test is 90 minutes. This test will be conducted on 1st September 2019 from 3 pm to 4:30 pm at one center in Hyderabad. There is no negative marking for the wrong answer and each right answer will be awarded 1 mark. The test paper consists of the following 2 parts:

  • Maternity and Child Health - 5
  • Family Planning and Contraception measures - 5
  • Primary Health Care - 5
  • Family and Behavioral sciences - 5

  • Nutrition - 10
  • Sanitation and Hygiene - 5
  • Environmental Health - 10
  • National and International Health Agencies - 5
  • Population Policy - 5

Tution Fee details

Tuition fee details are as follows:

  • Competent authority seats: Rs. 2,25,000/- per 2 years
  • Management Seats: Rs. 2,55,000/- per 2 years
  • Foreign Graduates: $ 6000 per 2 years
