UP NEET UG-2019 MBBS and BDS on-spot admissions Mop-Up round schedule


Not got a seat in the first and second round of UP NEET UG-2019 counselling? This article provides details on how to try and get a seat in a BDS or MBBS course in a dental/medical college in Uttar Pradesh through the UG-2019 MBBS and BDS admissions Mop-Up round. Know the dates of registration and where to report for the UP NEET UG-2019 Mop-Up round.

Office of the Director General, Medical Education & Training, Uttar Pradesh has announced the time schedule for admissions through Mop-Up round in the State of Uttar Pradesh for Government and private medical and dental colleges, institutions and Universities for Graduates programs, namely MBBS and BDS.

Eligibility criteria for Mop-Up registration

Only if you have not been allotted any seat in the first and second round of UP NEET UG-2019 counseling then you should register for the Mop-Up round. Those who have been allotted a seat or been admitted but not joined or not resigned from any MBBS seat in UP will not be eligible for the Mop-Up round.

Students who have already got admission to a BDS course can participate in the Mop-Up round if they wish to upgrade their BDS course to MBBS after resigning from their seats.



Mop-Up round old Schedule

  1. Online registration begins: 13th August 2019, 12 noon.
  2. Online registration ends: 16th August 2019.
  3. Expected date of declaration of merit list: 17th August 2019.
  4. Date of allotment in government medical/dental colleges: 19th August 2019, from 11 a.m.
  5. Date of allotment in private medical colleges: 20th August 2019, from 11 a.m.
  6. Date of allotment in private dental colleges: 21st/22nd August 2019, from 11 a.m.
  7. Date of admission: On spot admissions will be given.

Mop-Up round New Schedule

As per an advertisement in Hindustan Times, 17th August 2019 (Mumbai edition, page 8), this is the new schedule:
  1. Online registration begins: 13th August 2019, 12 noon.
  2. Online registration ends: 18th August 2019.
  3. Expected date of declaration of merit list: 19th August 2019.
  4. Date of allotment in government medical/dental colleges: 22nd August 2019, from 11 a.m.
  5. Date of allotment in private medical colleges: 26th August 2019, from 11 a.m.
  6. Date of allotment in private dental colleges: 27th/28th August 2019, from 10 a.m.
  7. Date of admission: On spot admissions will be given.


Place and time for reporting

The Mop-Up round will be conducted at:
Kalam Center,
King George Medical University,
Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
Time: Candidates must report at 9.30 a.m.

What is required: You must produce certificates in original as well as one set of self-attested photocopies at the time of document verification, otherwise, you will not be allowed to participate in the mop-up round.

How to register for Mop-Up round

You have to register for the Mop-Up round by depositing Rs.1000/- online by Net Banking/Debit card/Credit card on the NIC website of NEET UG-2019 UP Counselling.

You need to have a Bank DD as security money, the amount applicable as per the seat for which admission is sought:
  • Rs.30,000/- for Government MBBS/BDS seats.
  • Rs.2,00,000/- for a private medical college seat.
  • Rs.1,00,000/- for a private dental college seat.

The DD should be in favour of Director General Medical Education & Training U.P., payable at Lucknow. Only CTS Bank DD will be accepted.



Admission process through Mop-Up round

You need to complete the admission process by submitting all the relevant original documents on the spot after allotment of the seat.

In case you wish to opt for a seat in a private medical college, then you can prepare the DD in advance for the tuition fee. The minimum fee amount of DD for private MBBS seats is Rs.8.50 lakhs and for private BDS seats, it is Rs.1.37 lakhs. The DD has to be made in favour of Director General Medical Education & Training U.P., payable at Lucknow. Only CTS Bank DD will be accepted.

After allotment, you should deposit the difference of tuition fee amount to the allotted college counter for on-spot admission.
