SSC Junior Engineer exam 2019 how to apply online


Staff Selection Commission has issued the notification of Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Quantity Surveying and Contracts) Examination 2019. SSC (Staff Selection Commission) is inviting online application from eligible Junior Engineer (JE) candidates for its examination 2019 online. The exam is for Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Quantity Surveying and Contracts Engineers position on various Ministries / Departments / Organizations in the Government of India.

How to apply SSC JE Exam 2019 online

Staff Selection Commission will hold an open competitive Examination for these posts. If you are looking for such an opportunity to apply, attend the exam, qualify and appoint in a Government organization then this the best time, and a good chances to give it a try.

  • Central Water Commission (CWC)
  • Central Public Works Department (CPWD)
  • Military Engineer Services (MES)
  • Farakka Barrage Project
  • Border Road Organization (BRO)
  • Central Water and Power Research Station
  • Directorate of Quality Assurance (Naval)
  • National Technical Research Organization (NTRO)


Age Limit:
As on 01-01-2020: 30 / 32 years (depend on post) + relaxation.
Date of Birth proof can be accepted by authority only based on Matriculation / Secondary Examination Certificate.

Salary for appointed JE:
These JE posts are Group "B" (Non-Gazetted), in Level-6 (Rs 35400-112400/-) of pay matrix of 7th Central Pay Commission.

How to Apply for SSC JE exam 2019 online?

  • The applications accepted online mode only.
  • For One-time Registration, click on 'Register Now' link provided in 'Login' Section on https://ssc.nic.in
  • One-time Registration process requires Basic Details, Additional Details, Contact Details, Uploading of the scanned images of passport size photograph and signature.
  • Please refer Annexure III and IV in the below pdf / URL given for more detail on how to fill the online application form, exactly.


Fee for SSC JE exam:
Fee payable: Rs 100/- (Rs one hundred only). It can be paid through BHIM UPI, Net Banking or by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit card or in cash at SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan.

Important dates of SSC JE exam 2019:
  • Online applications from: 13.08.2019 to 12.09.2019.
  • Last date for receipt of applications: 12.09.2019 (17:00).
  • Last date for making online fee payment: 14.09.2019 (17:00).
  • Last date for generation of offline Challan: 14.09.2019 (17:00).
  • Last date for payment through Challan (during working hours of Bank): 16.09.2019.
  • Date of Computer Based Examination (Paper-I): To be updated later.
  • Date of Paper-II (Conventional): To be updated later.
