How to enrol, correct or delete names in Delhi Voters List through EVP

Are you going to be a first-time voter in Delhi and require an Electoral Photo Identity Card (EPIC)? Want to know how to make corrections or deletions in the existing Delhi electoral rolls through online or offline mode? This article provides information on the online and offline Electoral Verification Program (EVP) launched by the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Delhi. Through this program, voters in NCT of Delhi can confirm their details, enrol family members, make modifications and delete names.

Overview

Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Delhi has issued a notification about the Electoral Verification Program (EVP) to ensure that no voter is left out of the electoral rolls. As per the directions of the Election Commission of India, this EVP has been launched from 1st September 2019. Through this EVP, all electors of NCT of Delhi can verify their details. Adding names of family members, deleting names of those who have expired and making corrections, can all be done online or via offline mode.

All electors of Delhi are requested to participate in the EVP to ensure the electoral rolls are up to date and free of errors.

Supporting document required for verification

Firstly, keep ready scanned copies of any one of the following documents:
  1. Indian passport.

  2. Driving license.

How to participate in EVP

You can verify details of yourself or your family members through online or offline methods as mentioned below.

Online method

First you need to register at the National Voter Service Portal. For the registration process, you will require: (a) Electoral Photo Identity Card (EPIC) number; (b) Mobile number; and (c) Email ID.

You can also download the Voter Helpline App from Google play store and submit the required forms or avail of the services just like doing it offline at a CSC.

Offline method

You can do the verification at a Common Service Centre (CSC) or do the verification at a Voter Centre. Timings: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. (Monday to Saturday). The list of CSCs and Voter Centres can be checked at https://ceodelhi.gov.in/OnlineErms/NewContact_Page.aspx. Take along with you one of the relevant documents as listed above.
