Are you searching for the online application forms for 2019 Colgate Keep India Smiling Foundational scholarships for students and athletes? Helping underprivileged people in India and are looking for a grant? This article provides a ready guide to applying for the Colgate Keep India Smiling Foundational scholarship programs for Class 11, UG, Diploma, engineering and vocational courses students. Information on the financial grant for individuals helping others is also provided.

Colgate India is offering scholarships for meritorious students, including for sportspersons, who do not have sufficient financial means for their education. The scholarship programs will provide financial assistance as well as mentorship and relevant guidance. All the scholarships are only for those who come from an economically weaker section or who come within the below poverty line category. On fulfilling the eligibility criteria and applying for a scholarship program, it is not necessary that you will definitely be selected. The selection process may include further processes over the duration of a couple of months.

Note that employees of Colgate and those of its affiliates and their family members are ineligible to apply for any of the scholarships.

There are three categories of scholarships, as detailed below.

Scholarships for Education

Under this category, the following scholarships are being offered -

For Class 11 students

A scholarship amount of Rs.20,000/- per annum will be offered for the duration of two years. The annual family income of the applicant should be less than Rs.5 lakhs. To be eligible for this scholarship, you must have passed the Class 10 board exam in 2019 and scored a minimum of 75% in it. You should also be enrolled in Class 11 in a recognized educational institute in India.



For Graduates and Diploma students

A scholarship amount of Rs.30,000/- per annum will be offered for the duration of three years for students whose annual family income is less than Rs.5 lakhs. The student should have passed the Class 12 board exam in 2019 with a minimum of 60% in the exam. He/she should be enrolled in a 3-year graduation program or a diploma program in a recognised institute of India.

For Undergraduate and Engineering students

A scholarship amount of Rs.30,000/- per annum will be offered for the duration of four years. The annual family income must be less than Rs.5 lakhs. You can apply for this scholarship if you have completed your Senior Secondary education in the year 2019, having passed the Class 12 board exam in 2019 with a minimum of 60%. It is required that you are enrolled in a recognised undergraduate engineering program in India.

For students of Vocational Courses

A scholarship amount of Rs.20,000/- per annum will be offered for the duration of one year for students. The annual family income must be less than Rs.5 lakhs. The other eligibility requirement is to have passed the Class 12 board exam in 2019 with a minimum score of 60% in the exam. At the time of applying, you should be enrolled in any kind of vocational course at a recognised institution in India.



Scholarships for Sportspersons

A scholarship amount of Rs.75,000/- per annum will be offered for three years for sportspersons whose annual family income is less than Rs.5 lakhs. To be eligible for this scholarship, the sportsperson should be an athlete who is up to a maximum of 28 years of age. He/she should have represented India or the State or the District at the District or the State or the national level. Additionally, he/she should be ranked within the top 500 in the national ranking or within the top 100 in the state ranking or within the top 10 in the district ranking list.

How to apply

You must first go through the terms and conditions of the scholarship programs at the Colgate Keep India Smiling Foundational Scholarship Program official website before submitting the online application. You will be required to submit the relevant documents during the application process and also these may be required later, once the scholarship amount is allocated. Submit only valid and genuine documents. Colgate will be verifying all documents submitted. If any fake documents or information is found at any stage, the scholarship amount will be immediately withdrawn.

The last date to submit applications for all the programs: 30th January 2020.

In addition to the above-mentioned documents which are specific to each scholarship program, the applicant must submit:
  1. A passport-sized photograph.

  2. A valid ID proof: This could be either the Aadhar Card or the driving license or the Voter Id Card or the PAN card.

  3. Document in support of income proof: This can be an Income certificate or BPL certificate or Food security certificate or any other certificate of income which is issued by a competent Government authority.

  4. The Disability certificate, if applicable, for those with any type of physical disability.




Foundational Grant

In addition to the above-mentioned scholarships, Colgate is offering a Grant of Rs.75,000/- per year for two years to those individuals who are helping others. To be eligible, the person must be involved in education-related activities, such as teaching underprivileged children or providing sports training to them. Additionally, the applicant should be from the economically weaker or moderate-income group of society. The annual family income of the applicant must be less than Rs.5 lakhs.
