How to link PAN with Aadhaar - online registration / SMS process guideline

In case if you have earlier registered it at IT e-filing website then you can cross check whether your Aadhaar is linked with PAN or not. If yes, then you can ignore it and if not then you can then process to link them.

How to check and link PAN with Aadhaar online?

Step 1: First check the status by using your PAN and Aadhaar Number at - If already linked them then no issue.

Step 3: Try to login by using your 'User ID' and 'Password' to check whether it is already linked them. If linked them then it has no issue.

Step 4: If not linked, you can register from the beginning using PAN and Aadhaar number by using 'Sign up' option on the same website. Fill all the required detail.

Step 5: In case if you have signed up through an Accountant's or Auditor's or Agent, you can ask them your User ID and Password to check it online or you can check with them to update it. Otherwise, you need to approach to a PAN center nearby and update your mobile number (in case number has changed) and Aadhaar number online to get the SMS status.

Step 6: In case if you are not willing to register at e-filing website then another option is there to link PAN and Aadhaar at - once you completed the required detail and submitted them, it will give the status and the detail immediately there itself.

Please note, in case if you are a regular IT payers / filing then most probably the link would have been already done by you or your Auditor's on behalf. Still you can just cross check the status about it.

How to check PAN with Aadhaar linked status through SMS?

Type as: UIDPAN send to one of them 567678 or 56161.

For example, UIDPAN 123456789012 A123456789 - SMS to 567678 or 56161. You will get the SMS reply with current status, sooner.
