Are you confused about how to calculate the average marks in different grading systems? Read this article to learn how the grading is calculated in foreign universities.

In your graduation years, you might be either having a semester system or a yearly examination system. The calculation of the percentage for the master's applications is easy. You first need to add up all the marks in one semester or an academic year and then divide it by the total number of subjects. Then multiply it with 100 to get a percentage. Now do the same for all the semesters that you had appeared in the time you had completed your graduate course. Finally, add all these and take an average of all these. Multiply with 100 again and there you get your graduation percentage.

The article is quite informative providing the details of commuting average per cent of the total score of each semester.
Average of the marks play an important role in the assessment of the performance of the individual aspirant and the same needs the entire summation of marks divided by the number of subjects. The quotient thus obtained is to be multiplied by 100 to get the exact percentage.
SGPA and CGPA are also measuring yardsticks of performance. A higher CGPA is indicative of better performance of the individuals.
While applying for Masters, incorporation of average marks in terms of percentage or the incorporation of the prevalent grading system would be essential.
