A student who is going after his/her 12th standard should complete a preparatory course called "Studienkolleg". There are plenty of Studien colleague courses as per the aptitude of the student. For example, Maths, Physics, German, Chemistry, Informatics subjects can study in a course called T-Kurs. In M-Kurs course, Biology replaces Informatics in the T-Kurs course. In W-Kurs course, including subjects like German, Maths, Economics, Business and Sociology. And in G-Curze course Humanities subjects adding with W-Kurs course.

The student needs to pass a preliminary examination called "Aufnahmeprüfung" to join in the "Studienkolleg" courses. The Aufnahmeprüfung exam conducts in various subjects like Science, Engineering and Humanities. The student needs to travel to Germany in a special VISA to appear "Aufnahmeprüfung" examination.
