CMAT and GPAT entrance examination 2020 eligibility, application process and important dates

CMAT and GPAT entrance examinations 2020 are conducted by the National Testing Agency under the Ministry of Human Resources Development of Government of India. Check out this article to know the details of eligibility criteria, exam syllabus. application process and important dates.

Common Management Admission Test(CMAT) 2020 and Post Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test(GPAT) 2020 are two famous entrance examination for joining postgraduate management programme. If you are interested to apply for 2020 examinations, then you can start the process from 08/11/2019 onward.

National Testing Agency(NTA) is conducting both entrance examinations on 28th January 2020. CMAT examination will be conducted in the morning from 9.30 AM to 12.30 PM and GPAT entrance examinations will be conducted from 2.30 PM to 5.30 PM.


Those who have graduation in any subject in the format 10+2+3 can apply for CMAT. Candidates who obtained 4-year Pharmacy bachelors degree after 10+2 course can apply for GPAT entrance examination. Also if you have obtained B Pharm degree via Lateral entry, then you are also eligible to apply for GPAT. Those waiting for the result of final year degree exam are also eligible to apply for these exams. There is no age limit for these two examinations.

DMAT entrance exam details

A total of 100 multiple-choice model questions will be asked for this exams. Questions can be expected from subjects like Quantitative Techniques and data interpretation, General awareness, Language comprehension and Logical reasoning. 25 questions each can be asked from these four categories.

GPAT entrance exam details

There will be a total of 125 questions from the objective type and multiple choice streams, of which each question carries 4 marks each. There will be a negative mark for each incorrect answers. Questions are expected to be related from Pharmacy subject.

How to apply ?

For CMAT, please go through in the website and for GPAT, use the website for application process. Only online applications will be accepted. The last date for application is November 30, 2019. The results may be published around February 07, 2020.

  • Date for transaction of fees- 01.11.2019 to 01.12.2019
  • Choice of city - 01.11.2019 to 02.12.2019 (up to 11.50 PM.)
  • Date of examination - 28 January 2020
  • Date of declaring results- 07 February 2020
