STEAG Energy Services (India) Pvt. Ltd. (SESI) is a subsidiary of STEAG Energy Services GmbH, Germany, which provides engineering and O&M services in the power sector. STEAG India has issued a notification about a training-cum-employment opportunity for Graduate Engineer Trainees (GETs).

About STEAG India training program

The training program for GETs will be a high quality one of one-year duration. The training modules will include varied aspects of thermal power plant engineering and Operations and Maintenance (O&M). The training program will be conducted at the STEAG Power Plant Learning Center at Noida. This centre is recognized by the Central Electricity Authority (CEA), Govt. of India. Thus, on successful completion, GETs will receive a certificate as per provisions of the Indian Electricity Rules.

The first six months of the training program is a combination of theory and practical. It includes classroom sessions, simulator training, and field training. After that, the trainees will undergo on-the-job training for a further six months at the company's corporate office or at various O&M sites of the company. During on-the-job training, you will get a stipend of Rs.10,000/- per month. On successful completion of the program, you will get guaranteed employment in the company. The starting salary in the post of an Engineer with the company will be Rs.3,60,000/- per annum CTC.

Eligibility requirements for STEAG India training program

In order to be eligible for the STEAG India training program, you must have an AICTE-recognized engineering qualification in any of these fields of engineering - mechanical or electrical or instrumentation or electronics. You should have scored a minimum of 70% marks in aggregate at the graduate exam. Further, your age should not exceed 25 years as on 31st October 2019.

Training fee

Candidates have to pay a training free of Rs.2,50,000/-. You can pay this fee in two installments. The first installment of Rs.1,25,000/- is to be paid before joining the training program and the balance of Rs.1,25,000/- is to be paid after sixth months of the training.

How to apply

You have to download the application form from the official website (see the end of this article) and send your application via email to If selected, you have to send the following:
(a) The acceptance of the offer.
(b) A medical report (you have to fill up the prescribed format which is provided at the official website).
(c) A Bank draft of Rs. 1,25,000/- in favour of STEAG Energy Services (India) Pvt. Ltd., payable at Noida/New Delhi to the company's corporate office in Noida by courier by 16th January 2020. The payment can also be made through the online payment mode by remitting the amount directly to the company's Bank account (refer to the official notification for the details of the Bank account).

Note: Waitlisted candidates will be considered for the training program if selected candidates do not submit the requisite fee and documents by the closing date.

Important dates

The last date for receipt of application is 24th November 2019. Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview on 19th and 20th December 19 at 10 a.m. The location for the interview will be notified to the candidates.

The results of the interview will be declared on the official website on 2nd January 2020. Successful candidates will then have to pass some medical tests prior to the final confirmation of acceptance to the training program. The training program will begin on 3rd February 2019.
