Did you ever get fascinated by watching aircraft in movies and documentaries? If yes, there's some good news. If you have always wanted to associate yourself or stay near this wonderful invention of scientists, you can apply for an aircraft maintenance engineering program in India.
There was a time when people were forced to choose between medicine or engineering. When it came to engineering, people had a few options such as mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, software engineering etc.
But if you are bored with these regular courses, you have a wonderful opportunity to apply for aircraft maintenance engineering course.
Despite being one of the branches of engineering, this course is very new and different from the traditional courses. If you are curious about aircraft engineering maintenance course, it's time you read this article to know more about it.
Scope of Aircraft Engineering in India
There is no doubt about the fact that aircraft engineering is a very new field in India that promises an exciting career to the students.
It's so because the aviation sector has witnessed a rapid expansion in India in the last two decades. Almost every year, airline companies can be seen purchasing more and more planes and adding new air routes to the existing ones.

So, the scope is wide and if you are considering to take the plunge, you shouldn't think twice about it.

You will be required to test your designed aircraft in the field. Not only that, but you may be expected to design other related typed of equipment. Hence, in short, you will be employed to design an aircraft, or engineer a newly designed aircraft.
On the other hand, the aircraft maintenance engineer is expected to design or engineer a new aircraft. This job is not as high profile as the previous one. In this job, you will be responsible for the maintenance of the aircraft according to the local and international aviation standards that are prescribed by the authorities. In short, you will be required to get your hands greasy and sweaty if the situation so demands.
Eligibility and Requirement
To become eligible for an aircraft engineering course, you will have to finish your class 12th with PCM. Choosing physics, chemistry and maths is important. You will have to write an absence exam.
There are a lot of colleges that offer this course. You can choose this course in any given college. Once you complete four years and receive a degree, you will be qualified for securing a job.
If you want to go for entry-level jobs, a BE degree would suffice, but if you wish to go for higher job posts, you will have to obtain a masters degree.
