National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS), Institute of National Importance, Bengaluru, invites online application from eligible candidates for various UG, PG, MD, M Phil. Ph.D, Diploma and Certificate courses (detail is given below) under session 1 of the Academic Year 2020-21.

We have given the healthcare course detail below. Eligible and interested candidates can see the following detail and apply online for the same within last date. The total seats for each course is in less number in general. However, number of seat may vary subject to approval of statutory bodies.

Applicant belongs to various categories under external funding categories can apply for the concerned courses. Seats under 'External Fellowship Category' for such Ph.D Programs are subject to availability of guides. The External Fellowship includes, applicants with Fellowships from Government of India agencies like DBT, DST, AYUSH, UGC, CSIR or any other external funding agencies.

Eligibility Criteria:

I. Medical Courses: MBBS degree from a recognized University or from any other University recognized as equivalent
thereto by NIMHANS and by the Medical Council of India.

II. Non-Medical Courses: Candidates with M.Sc. / MA/ MSW/ BAMS / BE/ B.Tech/ B.Sc. should have passed the requisite
examination from a University recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) or the
Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) with not less than 55% of marks in aggregate on or before the
date of interview/ admission.

Candidates with PUC or 10 + 2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with 45% aggregate in
the above subjects can apply for B.Sc. in Nursing and similar Other courses.

Who can apply?: Indian and Foreigners can apply and it is subject to formal procedure and conditions.

How to apply online for NIMHANS:: The detail guideline is given on the official notification from page number 70 onward. Follow the same.

Note: All students have to mandatory register on the (OR) for the purpose of signing declaration for Anti-Ragging. Benefit of EWS (Economically Weaker Section) reservation category (other than SC/ST/OBC) will be those whose family's annual income is less than eight lakh India rupees. It is subject to latest income certificate issued by the Gazetted officers, Government of India.
