Applications invited for Andhra University's RUSA Postdoctoral Research Fellowship-2020

Andhra University has invited applications for recruitment of Post Doctoral Fellows (PDF-2019) under RUSA Postdoctoral Research Fellowship. Post Doctoral Fellows will be provided a fellowship of Rs. 75,000/- per month, plus HRA along with an annual contingency of Rs.1 lakh. About RUSA Postdoctoral Research Fellowship
RUSA Postdoctoral Research Fellowship has been started by Andhra University. This scheme was initiated for the young researchers having new and advanced ideas of research in their field. This scheme identify capable researcher in the field of basic sciences, Engineering and other subjects. Every year candidates are selected two times i.e. December and January. This will be considered as first phase Duration of Fellowship
The fellowship will be for 2 years. It will be renewed yearly on the basis of performance. Candidates has to serve 3 months notice period in case of early leaving of fellowship. Candidate has to submit n affidavit to work in the University for a minimum period of 2 years. Fellowship Amount
Assignment and Review
It is a full time research program. Candidates will have to engage in research as well as academic activities. Comprehensive progress report duly approved by the mentor has to be submitted to RUSA PAB.Leave rule

The main aim of this fellowship is to provide a platform and training and research opportunities to young talented researchers to build their own independent research career. Fields

Maximum age limit is 38 years. Age relaxation may be given to SC/ST/Physically handicapped, women candidates and OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates up to 2 years.Reservation
As per Central Government reservation policy, there will be reservations like 15% SC, 7.5% ST, 27% to OBC candidates (Non creamy Layer only) and 4% for persons with disability. Besides, 10 % reservation will be given to EWS.Eligibility
Research Requirement
Note: Plagiarism certificate using Turnitin University should be submitted. Applicant's thesis will be checked for plagiarism and considered only when below 20%.How to apply

A selection committee named RUSA PAB will be formed for selection of candidates. Only shortlisted candidates will be called. Selection of suitable candidates will be based on the presentation of the work proposal followed by an interview.
Points to remember: Work proposal for this fellowship should be different to that of Ph.D. topic. No TA, DA will be paid for attending interview. Those who have already avail RUSA scheme are not eligible to apply again. Those who are in service must duly submit 'no objection certificate' from the present employer at the time of attending the interview.Termination of Fellowship
