BITSAT 2020 is an online computer based test on the format of multiple choice questions (MCQs). Based on the results of the test, you can seek admission to a degree programme of BITS Pilani in one of its three campuses. BITSAT stands for BITS Admission Test. It is a 3 hours test with 150 questions in all. You are tested on subjects ranging from physics, chemistry, math, English and logical reasoning. With every correct answer fetching 3 marks, the total marks for the test is 450. There is negative marking and every wrong answer fetches a minus 1. No marks for questions that are not attempted. Math has 45 questions, physics and chemistry 40 each, English 15 and reasoning 10 questions. Candidates for B.Pharm can choose biology over mathematics. Since it is a computer based test, the candidates can change the answers to any question anytime during the test.
Those who are able to answer all the 150 questions, without skipping a single question, get an additional 12 questions to answer. The questions will be four each from physics, chemistry and math/biology. This way highly meritorious students get the opportunity to score more than 450 marks.
