Indian Culinary Institute, with campuses at Tirupati and Noida, has issued the admission notification for the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) course for the academic session 2020-2023. Admission to the course will be through an all-India entrance exam.

The course leading to a Bachelor of Business Administration in Culinary Arts is of three years' duration which is offered at Indian Culinary Institute, Noida and Tirupati in collaboration with the Indira Gandhi National Tribal University (IGNTU). There are 120 seats each at ICI Tirupati and ICI Noida.
This course is ideal for those planning a career in kitchen management or as a chef, as faculty or as a nutrition expert. The six-semester course gives hands-on training in the lab/kitchen to enhance your culinary skills. You get to know all about how to maintain hygiene and handle food products, learn about food production and types of cuisines, etc. Placement assistance is provided, and exchange programs with international institutes are arranged as well.

In addition, there may be other charges. There is a separate hostel fee of Rs.30,000/- per semester, with hostel accommodation available for boys and girls at both the campuses. Eligibility requirements for BBA in Culinary Arts
First of all, ensure that you are physically fit. You will be required to submit a physical fitness certificate from a Registered Medical Practitioner at the time of admission, in the prescribed format (this is available in the official brochure). Educational Qualification criteria
You should have passed the 10+2 Senior Secondary exam or an equivalent exam from a recognized Board/Council (refer to the official brochure to know the acceptable equivalent qualifications). A minimum of 50% is the qualifying percentage for General and OBC candidates, while for SC and ST candidates it is 45%. If you are appearing in 10+2 or equivalent exam this year, then also you are eligible to appear for the entrance exam on a provisional basis, with the proof of having passed the qualifying exam submitted at the time of admission or latest by 30th September 2020. Age criteria
If you are applying in the General category or the OBC category, then the upper age limit is 22 years as on 1st July 2020, while for SC/ST category candidates the upper age limit is 27 years. Note that the date of birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board/Pre-University Certificate will be accepted as the authentic proof for age criteria. Hence, at the time of counselling, this certificate must be shown in original as proof of age, otherwise, you will not be considered for counselling/admission.
BBA in Culinary Arts Entrance Test format
The two-hour entrance test for admission is a bi-lingual one, with questions in both English and Hindi (except for the English language paper). There are five sections, each of 20 marks, with a total of 100 marks. The sections are Numerical ability and Analytical aptitude; Reasoning and Logical deduction, General knowledge and current affairs; English language; and Aptitude for the service sector.

First-round seat allotment: 1st June 2020.
Reporting of the first round: 2nd to 6th June 2020.
The second round of seat allotment: 11th June 2020.
